Had a great experience with the Peds ER in March after a bad experience at Maimonides. My baby had an accident with the stroller and we wanted to go to NYU first but the ambulance could only bring us to Maimo 🙄. After a terrible experience and a missed diagnosis, I went to NYU two days later after my daughter developed a hematoma on her head. Thankfully, these docs found the problem! From the moment we checked in until we were discharged, the staff was amazing! They all have amazing bedside manner. The nurses were also SO kind. Dr. Gifford listened to us and gave us such detailed information about my daughter’s injury and recovery. We really had a great experience and were out pretty quickly. The only reason for 4 stars is because the waiting room experience needs improvement. It’s not big enough and not that clean. One other thing to mention is that there was a mistake in our discharge papers regarding my daughter condition. Still had a great experience though.
Where do I begin. This staff have made an impact on my life more than they realize. I recently had a procedure with Dr. Josef shehebar and staff members anesthesia Tori Grant, Dr. Thornhell, Rn Bina Rai, RN Charos Usanova and NP Elaine Chang.I really hope I spelled everyone’s names correctly because they deserve the upmost recognition, and they have my extreme gratitude. They treat you so well here it makes you feel like family. They are very respectful and genuinely are concerned for your well-being. Although I was scared, they made me feel safe. My procedure went well and all I can think about when I woke up from the anesthesia was to thank all of them. I was just so thankful for them. You don’t come across good people all the time when going to these organizations, but I can say without any doubt, I am extremely happy I switched over to Nyu organization. When they say some people are born to do things, they are talking about this Staff and all the names that I named in this review. They are truly blessed and will enjoy all the riches in life God has in stored for them because of their genuine heart. They have made a severe impact on my life and they don’t even know it, and it’s all because they were being the people they were born to be. It wasn’t forced, it wasn’t fake, they didn’t make me feel like I was their 100th patient for the day and could care less of how I felt and just wanted to get me out.If you’re looking for doctors and staff who really care, this is the place and I’m so happy I decided to switch to NYU Organization for everything health wise.
My family had an excellent experience with NYU Langone Health. The care and professionalism shown to my grandmother meant so much to all of us during an important time. Rachelle, Andrew, and Bradley were incredibly kind, attentive, and compassionate throughout the process. They made sure my grandmother felt comfortable, cared for, and respected every step of the way. They were patient when answering questions, always professional, and went above and beyond to make our family feel at ease. It is rare to come across a team that combines both medical excellence and genuine kindness so naturally.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hospital. I don’t even have the patience to write it all out. -there was a random cop charging his phone in my room which is definitely a hippa violation -the staff had inappropriate conversation about drug use right outside the rooms -they were extremely slow and not in a normal hospital way. I mean 3 hours to see the doctor. -they left cups of urine(the one in the picture is bloody urine for a patient that was already discharged 2 hours prior) in the room -after waiting multiple hours without seeing my Dr or nurse, I almost took out my own IV Honestly the list goes on…. Please do not go here looking for any type of professionalism or resolution.
I recently had a surgical procedure last Friday, 06/12/2026, and I am very grateful to everyone who took care of me, from registration, to the intake team, and to the entire surgical/nursing team. I was home that same day and on my way to full recovery, . I cannot thank you enough. One very positive and very lasting encounter I have during my hospital visit was with Ms. Maria Plasencia (hope I got her name correctly) as I was at the discharge lounge. Obviously, I wasn't fully well yet, still trying to recoup through the lingering effects of general anesthesia, but she was very passionate and caring, and she did so with everyone else. I knew I wasn't fully recovered yet at that point and I am sure I didn't look well enough as I remember trying to fight off falling asleep. She made sure that I was okay, and I even remember hearing her call the postop team to let them know how I was presenting at that point, just in case I got worse. What was so generous of her was that she went out of her way to buy me a hot chicken noodle soup out of her own money, as she figured taking something hot would help me get through the lingering effects of anesthesia. She didn't have to do it, but she did, and for that I cannot thank her enough. She is a great representation of what the organization is trying to achieve as a medical provider, and I am not sure if I told her that day, but she really and truly is a excellent ambassador to the NYU brand. Again, to Maria and to the entire medical, nursing and support team/s , thank you very much. I am truly grateful.
Dear Emergency Department Team, I’m writing to express my sincere gratitude for the care and compassion you showed during my recent visit. Moments in the emergency room can feel overwhelming, but your professionalism, kindness, and calm presence made a meaningful difference. The nurse Amanda thank you for your attentiveness, patience, and the way you made me feel seen and cared for every step of the way. And to the doctors—thank you for your expertise, clear communication, and the reassurance you provided when it mattered most. You all work in such a fast-paced and demanding environment, yet you still manage to bring warmth and humanity into what could otherwise be a very stressful experience. That truly stands out. I deeply appreciate everything you do, not just for me, but for every patient who walks through your doors. With heartfelt thanks, Roman Ivanov
Extreme Overcrowding, Hygiene Issues, Privacy Breaches, and Excessive Wait Times in the Emergency Department I visited the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn and experienced conditions far below expected standards for a modern hospital. There were no available rooms or beds, even for patients needing treatment. Staff continued accepting new patients despite the lack of space. Multiple patients were placed in what appeared to be an area designed for two beds but was instead furnished with approximately 10 chairs. The seating had visible blood stains. Blood draws, IV setups, medication administration, and doctor-patient conversations occurred openly in this shared space. Medical details were audible to everyone nearby, raising serious concerns about patient privacy and HIPAA compliance. We remained in the department for over 12 hours under these conditions. The environment felt chaotic, with little regard for hygiene, dignity, or organization. This experience does not align with the high-quality care NYU Langone is known for system-wide. I urge hospital leadership to urgently address overcrowding, patient flow, sanitary conditions, and confidentiality protections. Patients in distress deserve far better.
