Very disappointing experience. This place is very famous, so we made a special trip to try it, but the actual experience did not live up to the hype at all. The pizza was disappointing — the crust, sauce, and cheese felt completely separated instead of coming together as one balanced pizza. We even added extra mozzarella, but there was still very little cheese. I honestly can’t imagine what it would have been like without the extra cheese. For the price and reputation, it really does not feel worth a special trip. To be honest, many ordinary slice shops in New York serve pizza that tastes more natural, more satisfying, and better overall. The service was also almost nonexistent. During the meal, it was difficult to find anyone even when we simply wanted some water. The overall experience felt inattentive and not welcoming. Maybe this place attracts a lot of people because of its history and reputation, but based on this visit, I really don’t think it is worth waiting in line for or making a special trip. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal

We have been eating at Juliana in Brooklyn for over a decade and it is still the best pizza in our view. They still have the original hand crafted brick oven for their pizza. Their pizzas come out piping hot with creamy cheese and crispy thin crust. The meatballs are tender and flavorful. The cream soda was smooth and refreshing. They also offer good selection of wines to pair it with pizza. Their service is fast and friendly
We arrived at Juliana’s with empty bellies but hearts full of hope. We’ve learned by now Juliana’s is a place we can slow down a bit, let our guard down and count on an experience that is warm and satisfying. This afternoon, we again were not disappointed. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, an arugula and prosciutto pizza and an order of meatballs. Of course, everything was exquisite. Cooked to perfection, a perfect crust provides a base to the toppings of your choosing and for us, this was the way to go on this particular afternoon. The arugula and prosciutto pizza was light and fresh and refreshing even while the pepperoni brought a certain weight that you appreciate, without being overbearing. Meatballs were cooked with care arriving to the table covered in tomato sauce. Service was impeccable as always. Can’t wait to come back.
Margherita large with mushrooms after some rock climbing at bk uprising. The pizza is thin which is great but it is a bit floppy as a result. Sauce can be a little inconsistent across slices. The tomatoes used are very fresh. Cheese tastes good. A little bit of salt is needed on the pizza because by default it tastes a bit plain. It can be a long line so plan ahead. Overall this pizza place is fine but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit here and wait on line.
We visited on a Sunday as a group of three and were seated immediately there were only two tables occupied inside. We ordered a large Margarita pizza. Seeing the oven made me hopeful but unfortunately the pizza fell well below my expectations. The crust was thin and although the portion size looked large the sauce did not reflect a traditional flavor. Additionally, the basil topping was added at the beginning of the cooking process which is not technically correct it burned in the oven and negatively affected the taste. However, the atmosphere was clean and the service was good.
Fantastic food. Owner was very nice and welcoming. We ordered two pizzas and 4 of us were full. We even had pieces to go, the portion is big and quality is great. Definitely recommended.
After a full day of walking around Manhattan and Brooklyn, this was exactly what we needed. There was a wait, but once the pizza arrived, nobody at the table was complaining anymore. The crust had just the right balance of crispness and chew, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the whole pie disappeared much faster than expected. New York has no shortage of famous pizza places, which makes choosing one surprisingly stressful. I'm glad we ended up here. The wait was worth it, the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, and the pizza was simply delicious. If you're exploring New York and want to stop for a proper pizza, Juliana's is an easy recommendation.
Possibly one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life! We waited in the freezing cold to get a seat, but they did have heat lamps out front that helped out🥶 the wait was absolutely worth it and I would do it all over again for one of these incredible slices! Great presentation inside, staff were amazing, plus you got to see them cook right in front of you!! This was one of my highlights on the trip and made me feel like i was in Newyork! Great work guys 🇺🇸 Brooklyn!!!!!
