Jacques Torres Chocolate - Dumbo

Very thick, true to taste, good balance of chocolate and sweetness, very polite people and service, helped us with locating the store when we called them, very great hot chocolate, tried classic, wicked hot chocolate has cinnamon, they give free trial samples to taste.

The store is very big and has some seating as well. The chocolate is definitely on the fancier expensive side but great for gifts. They had lots of pre-packaged sets but you can also create your own box. Lots of NYC themed packaging as well. We loved all the different flavors. The dark chocolate was intense and smooth without being too bitter. Hard to believe it was 80%! One note: Gift cards purchased online cannot be used in the store! We found that out the hard way.

I have visited the Grand Central and other locations before as I have loved these cookies since visiting Mr. Chocolate's second NYC location on Hudson St. Dumbo was the first location he opened. This is a large and well set up store with excellent staff and so many products available. We of course took away multiple cookies and some dark chocolate. I appreciate that it is explained where the chocolate is sourced from. The cookies were amazing and are definitely a favorite of mine!

Unlike his original chocolate shop in Dumbo over 20 years ago, there isn’t a chocolate factory on site. However, the chocolate is just as delicious as I remember it! So many offerings, truffles, gelato and their delicious big chewy cookies! Not many cold drink options, just water and hand crafted coffees and milkshakes. You can even buy the mixes to take home or hot chocolate mix. We had a nice break after walking the Brooklyn flea on a Saturday afternoon.

Excellent neighborhood chocolatier. The staff is very nice and superb helpful. And the chocolate is delicious. Also, I recommend the Wicked Hot Chocolate with s tinge of spice. It's perfect for a cold day.

Delicious cookie in town. I ordered the jacques famous chocolate chip cookies for $4.09. The cookies was quite hard, but u could ask the waitresses to warm it up for you. I loved it because it's not too sweet. They also sold hot chocolate, chocolate bars, and ice cream. Plenty tables for u to dine in, and they also had restroom.

Was a larger than expected size shop. It appears to be 2 shop combined. One side is mostly ice cream. The other is fudge, cookies and coffee. 4$ for most cookies. Fudge depends on how much you buy. Some of the prices seems a little high but that could just be me. Staff was good. It was definitely halloween themed when I entered noticed it right away.

I was so glad to stop here in the BROOKLYN location because if I would of decided to go to the one in Grand Station I would of been disappointed, it was CLOSED. As the one in the dumbo area it was a cute shop and had all kinds of goodies. The cashier was extremely nice. Wish I would of gotten his name! We bought chocolates, cookies and Believe it not ice cream. It was extremely cold weather but I just can’t resist ice cream. So I would come back in warmer months and have more ice cream! I’m also a fan of the giant cookies with the bottom cover chocolate. They were heavenly but I’m bias, I love sweets.
