Cup of Joe Coffee Company

During my visit to Brooklyn, Cup of Joe became my morning coffee stop. They offer a great variety of high-quality coffee, both hot and cold. My cappuccino had a unique and delicious taste. The staff was professional and very welcoming. I truly enjoyed the experience. Samir

My coworkers and I love Cup of Joe Coffee. We order every week and the coffee is delicious. What really stood out to me was the level of customer service. I had a small issue with my order and the owner, Saddik, went above and beyond to make it right. He was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about my experience. It’s rare to see that level of dedication these days. Thanks to him, I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to other people.

Editing: Gotta say, after a year plus of ordering from here, Cup of Joe continues to be a consistent beast in the coffee world. They helped me learn how to appreciate real coffee and this little spot in the corner of Bay Ridge keeps up with the top coffee spots in NY! Cup of Joe has great service, and one barista in particular stands out- he's always ready with thoughtful recommendations and once when I came in, he even had me try a latte on the house! The coffee flavors here are unique and taste amazing every time. The cookies are fire, especially the one with the knafeh in it. Just come early in the day because other pastries run out.

EDITING TO ADD: AC was added to the 89th location a few days after my review. The barista was so excited! And the owners say there’s AC at the 5th ave location too. Rating changed to 5 stars! Both locations are beautifully designed and are welcoming spaces. Every barista I’ve encountered has been friendly, warm and inviting. I’ve tried several different drinks and all have been delicious. The pastries are also super high quality. However, I do have to acknowledge how uncomfortably hot it is in both locations. I frequent the one on third avenue more and sometimes the heat that hits just a few steps in makes me consider leaving. I acknowledge they added a fan to circulate air but it really isn’t enough. I’d love to sit and stay a few hours, buying multiple drinks and working on my computer. It just gets too stifling. I am also concerned because the baristas usually have visible sweat on their faces so they’re clearly overly warm, too. I hope they consider adding air conditioning at some point. NYC summers are only going to worsen moving forward.

I’m a coffee connoisseur and have tried SO many coffee spots in NYC but this has got to top all. The quality of the coffee is amazing, and the drinks are always made so well — it won’t ever be watered down or just milk dumped on coffee. There is a huge variety of drinks including matcha, so there something for everyone. Kareem and Matthew were also great, they warmly welcomed us and were friendly and kind to everyone that walked in, going beyond customer service expectations. 11/10 :)

The staff here is really phenomenal. I’m a frequent customer (I usually come around the same time and order the same thing religiously - until they come up with some seasonal flavor I have to try.) but I love that they always remember my order. The coffee is delicious and even when it’s packed it worth the wait! Definitely a must stop!

Just moved into the area and this by far is my favorite spot to grab coffee. Their latte and pastries are so good and the service is phenomenal. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming I love it. Would highly recommend stopping by here.
