This spot usually has lines wrapping around with customers eager to grab their ice cream and go, so I already had high expectations. Over the weekend, my mom and I—slightly buzzed and definitely overstuffed from pizza at Time Out Market—decided the only logical next step was ice cream. That’s when we spotted BK Ice Cream Factory. We ordered two scoops: cherry chocolate chip and classic chocolate. Out of the two, the clear winner for us was the chocolate—rich, creamy, and exactly what we were craving. That said, we appreciated the staff’s recommendation and their friendliness throughout. The team was super welcoming despite the steady flow of customers. There’s something about ending a fun Brooklyn evening with ice cream by the waterfront that just feels right. This is definitely a place worth stopping by on a hot day, especially after a long walk, a big meal, or simply when you want a classic NYC summer moment.

Very difficult to miss their Banner which is ginormous... We went here and I had a banana split... my son had some chocolate and vanilla ice cream... I think it was good ...is it amazing? No, it was not but, it was good enough for a hot day.

The ice cream was delicious, and you can tell the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory sets itself apart by making their ice cream all at the restaurant. You can taste the freshness! As we were leaving, we noticed they had a bar for drinks and we will definitely be back to enjoy a drink or two!

That said, be prepared for a very limited selection of standard flavors. It’s also definitely on the pricey side—expect to pay $8 for a single scoop, which feels a bit steep compared to the usual $6 national average. Worth a stop if you want a reliable, friendly spot to sit down, but keep the smaller menu and higher cost in mind.

$10 for scoop vanilla and scoop strawberry. Obviously more expensive than grocery store, so what do you get? On the plus side it does taste like there is something to each, particularly the strawberry. But the taste was odd to me with something of an aftertaste, possibly from being egg free. Conclusion: Try it if you want egg free ice cream and are ok with price, or if you are willing to pay premium for the experience. Service was good. But for me, though it was all right, once was enough.

Honestly the ice cream tasted amazing, one of the best I’ve had! We tried the vanilla chocolate chip and coffee both with hot fudge. I’d say they’re a bit overpriced though, 10 dollars each for just a scoop. But great if you’re in the area!
