Allan's Bakery

I grew up on Allan's Bakery and they have never missed. I ordered my wedding cake from them back in 2021 and I ordered cupcakes for my daughter's birthday last year and this year. The service is great and everything always comes out better than expected. I will be a lifetime customer.

Allan’s bakery created my daughter’s dream sweet 16 cake. We ordered the cake over the phone. They did it EXACTLY how we requested and it also tasted amazing! In addition, when we came back to thank them in person (and they realized who we were) the staff welcomed my daughter with open arms and made her feel so special ♥️ Thank you Allan’s Bakery.

Grew up in the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s just a couple of blocks away.. Currant rolls and hard dough bread are my jam. Thank the good Lord for shipping. Have not met a currant roll that is anything like Allan’s since I moved 15 years ago. It still tastes just like I remember

Waited in line for about 20 minutes for one currant roll and instantly regretted it. I should have ordered six. Seriously life changing but I will say I had it fresh and warm. Although I doubt they can ever sit long enough to get cold even in a blizzard. One of the best desserts PERIOD I’ve ever had

Hands down they know what they are doing when making pastries. Workers appear to have attitudes with outsiders, not from the area and no rush to do anything. Its depends from person to person. They only take cash as well and Do no not ship nationwide anymore. I will definitely return, but bring cash & a whole lot of patience.

This review is solely based on one of the cakes they offer because I don't appreciate the deception. I've known this place for over two decades and I am Caribbean so I know what pineapple filling cake is supposed to look like. Why is it that the amount of jam is extremely thin? And why is it that the jam is dark brown? It's supposed to have a pretty, bright yellow color and you could actually taste the pineapple. This restaurant used to make it correctly and consistently. If it's not pineapple filling, it should not be labeled "pineapple filling." The scarcity of the filling is bonkers as well. There's so much cake and frosting and barely any jam. I am very much disappointed in the quality of the cake.

Coconut roll had way too much almond essence, did not enjoy that. However, currants roll, beef patty, coconut patty and fish patty were delicious!
