Museum of the Rockies

So glad I chose this as my museum for the day. Amazing display of dinosaur and mammalian fossils found throughout Montana. Learned alot about the history of Montana and really enjoyed the frog displays. The planetarium was unexpectedly informative concerning biological entities in deep space.

The Museum of the Rockies was one of our highlights from our time in Bozeman ! Such a cool, interesting, educational museum for all ages. You do want to plan ahead to take advantage of a show at the planetarium and have time to walk through the museum. We spent 2h30 walking, reading and watching everything. 100% would recommend

The frog exhibit was very well done. So glad I got to see it. They change exhibits often, but the dinosaurs are always there and absolutely incredible. I wish we had been there when they were actually working on displays, but they have a lit of interactive exhibits , which was fun and educational. They also had an exhibit of old Montana, the cars, the tools, etc and itcwas interesting too. We spent several hours in there so make sure if you go to map out time.

Un museo muy bonito, dinámico y entretenido para toda la familia el área de las ranas es muy divertido y el área de dinosaurios es impresionante. No es un lugar muy amplio con 2 horas basta para recorrer el lugar, costo 20 dllrs adultos. Cuenta con tienda de regalos y cafeteria.

We visited the Museum of the Rockies during our winter break and were thoroughly impressed. The exhibitions are high-quality—especially the Siebel Dinosaur Complex. It was the perfect way to wrap up our trip after visiting Yellowstone. My kids were engaged the whole time. A truly "must-visit" spot in Bozeman!

This museum may be small but it is very cool as you can see by the ratings. This place has very cool exhibits with a dinosaur exhibit and upstairs there's a kid play area. There is a auto exhibit and there is also a native American exhibit. I went to a show the last time I came here and it was very good. I was quite surprised because this place does not usually have the best shows. The museum of the Rockies has a very cool outside area that you can go inside this old house and you can go to a iron Maker. I have gotten a little hook from the iron person and it was very cool, take note that this outside area is closed during the winter. There is also a exhibit that changes quite frequently. The last time was a Jane Goodall exhibit and it was very interesting. You got to look closer at how she traveled through Africa and met up with all the apes. Overall, this place is very nice and cool and I would totally recommend it to anybody who wants just a fun activity for just an afternoon or a full day.

As always, the dinosaurs were amazing. I'm always so impressed by the variety and completeness of the skeletons. This trip, however, I'm enamored with the frogs! The rotating exhibit was a display of frogs from around the world. It was fun, informative and so well done. The frogs are there until September.

Great museum! Loved seeing all the exhibits dedicated to fossils and the history of Yellowstone. A little on the pricier end to get in but worth it to see the museum.
