If this is about my video conference with Dr. Hess, that was excellent. If this is about my surgery at Boulder Surgery Center yesterday that was fantastic. Great nurses and got all my questions answered. Got lots of good advice about going home. Dr. Yerrapragada did a wonderful job amputating my toe with just a local so I chatted all the way through the 30 min surgery.

Opinioni dei visitatori
Everything went like clockwork for my cardiac ablation. All members of the team were pleasant, efficient and kind. The nurses, and especially “my” nurse Cindy, were present, caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Joel McCreary from anesthetist was terrific, sitting down with me, making eye contact, taking time, answering questions and creating an anesthesia plan with me for me. And his sense of humor was a huge help with my anxiety. I felt very safe. Dr. Maria Anderson was my brilliant cardiac electrophysiologist, and also gave the time, attention, care and skill that made my experience so perfect. It could not have been any better!!
I had an angiogram and stayed over night. The staff and the doctors were wonderful. That includes the emergency room. I had to stay over night in the ER to wait for a bed. The nurse made it a point to get me a hospital bed. I can't recall her name but she was from Chicago like me. she was great. The cardiologist was top notch and made it a point to take the time to explain what happened in terms that I could understand. His PA was also outstanding. The nurse who took care of me on the floor was also awesome. Had a good sense of humor that I enjoyed. I am back home in Illinois. Thanks for your care.
I just had an absolutely terrible experience with one of the nurse practitioners here. I went in for lack of appetite and she immediately wanted to order lots of very expensive tests that seemed highly unnecessary given my symptoms. I had an elevated hormone level that I had read was likely caused by a medication I was on but this nurse wouldn’t even consider the possibility that it was my meds and wanted me to get an MRI. I stopped taking the medication and the hormone normalized. Then she decided I needed a CT scan but when I asked her simple follow up questions about what the scan might show and what she was worried about she wouldn’t answer and instead sent me recommendations for a psychiatrist, essentially implying I was crazy for asking to hear her reasoning. What kind of care is this? She just was extremely uncaring and unclear. It really seemed like she was just trying to send me to very expensive testing to jack up my bill. I did not feel like she listened at all or even tried to understand my concerns. I told her thanks but no thanks, I’d get a second opinion elsewhere. I would avoid this place like the plague. Just absolutely terrible care.
I had a very poor experience with Dr. Herman Damek and was disappointed by Boulder Community Health’s response when I raised concerns. During a physical, I was asked whether I had any medical concerns. When I answered, Dr. Damek made me feel as though I had done something wrong by bringing it up. If the concern was outside the scope of the preventive visit or involved a separate charge, that could have been explained respectfully. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and condescending. I also asked him to explain what he was doing during the exam, and his response felt passive-aggressive and infantilizing rather than professional. He raised aspects of my medical history in a way that felt shaming, without clearly explaining the relevance, and he spoke negatively about other medical professionals I mentioned for possible follow-up care. When I complained to BCH, their written response did not meaningfully address the concerns. They reframed the issue as a matter of “practice style and personality” and suggested he may not be the right doctor for me. That felt like patient-blaming rather than a serious review of professionalism and patient care. This was not just a poor personality fit. Patients deserve dignity, clear communication, and respectful care. That was not my experience.
I had a procedure done and everything started on time. The prep staff and surgical staff were outstanding and answered all my questions. I had a minor complication and stayed the night, but the nurses checked on me very often and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. The food choices were wonderful and delicious! The food was delivered quickly and it was hot! Thank you very much to the entire staff for assisting me during my brief visit!
I have been a patient with Boulder Community Health in Erie for a year now. My overall experience is wonderful! My primary Doctor is wonderful and so is his staff. Lab and radiology service have been a great experience as well! Thank you!!
It was good. The guy who did my blood work at the end seemed hung over. The MA who did my vaccines had kinda bad bedside manner. Straight up said “oh yeah this one is gonna hurt bad.” When administering a vaccine. Whoever helped me and the desk when checking in for bloodwork seemed annoyed she had to help me. The kind lady who reviewed my charges before lab work was an absolute angle I wish I knew her name but she was amazing! The Doctor herself was super nice and awesome! Answers all questions and didn’t make me feel stupid for asking them! My biggest dissatisfaction comes from the billing. As someone who works in healthcare I understand sometimes you can’t present a bill right away but for someone who is self pay this shouldn’t be an issue as the prices are already set. So imagine my surprise when I wake up this morning to see that after my visit in MARCH my bill has increased with no solid explanation. I’m extremely confused and upset that my bill keeps increasing when I haven’t even been back. I also never received my results from my Pap smear. Over all the doctor and that one admission lady was amazing everything else was okay.
