The Castle Theatre

As a photographer with Complete Weddings + Events, I have had the pleasure of working at some incredible venues and The Castle in Bloomington, Illinois is truly in a league of its own. The space is unlike anything else in the area, offering a genuinely unique backdrop that makes every wedding feel special and memorable. The layout works beautifully for every part of the celebration. Cocktail hour flows effortlessly, and the dinner setup is elegant and inviting, giving couples and their guests a seamless, enjoyable experience from start to finish. And that marquee outside? Absolutely love it. Seeing a couple’s name lit up as guests arrive sets the tone for the whole night and makes for a great photo opportunity too! Above all, the staff at The Castle are simply outstanding. They go above and beyond at every turn, making sure everything runs smoothly so that couples can truly soak in every moment of their day. If you are looking for a wedding and reception space with personality, charm, and a team that truly cares, The Castle delivers on all of it.

Great venue! Quite possibly my new favorite! The space is beautiful, the staff were kind and charming, the bathrooms accessible and clean, the talent (Margo Price and Eliza Thorn) absolutely amazing, the crowd they drew in were so fun, caring, and just made a little community for the evening! Cannot recommend this enough!! If a thing comes along here that you vibe with - DO IT!

My absolute favorite venue for rock shows. Only downside is the now paid seating in the best standing areas. Still beats the large venues, though.

Saw a terrific show by C J Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band. C J is the son of Zydeco music "king" Clifton Chenier. Great performances by each member of the band, who all got to solo! C J and his accordian and stage presence...priceless!

I finally made it to an event here and I thought it was a nice little venue. The bathrooms were quite clean and the staff was friendly and professional. We enjoyed it and will be back surely.

Place was pretty sik, security were all chill dudes and kept it professional. Sound Quality was great and was a nice change of venues having have bar top at the front near the stage and an old man assist bar. Stay Stellar

Great place. No problem to get help and accommodations for shows if you are disabled. Getting drinks and merch was easy. Really really cool venue and really really good people. Shakey Graves was great!! The opener, clover county, was also great!

Small venue. Balcony seating and some barstools/counter spots on lower level. Mainly standing room. I won radio tickets, and this was my first time there.We were told we could go wherever we wanted.So we found a spot to sit being one of the first people there and halfway through the show, people got there and said they had reservations for the scenes.So we had to move.Try to find a new spot amongst the crowd.Ended up not being able to find another spot and ended up leaving. We just wish it was clearly communicated that it was standing room only and the all of the seats were for reservations only. Treats were average.A double was fourteen a single was seven. Some bartenders were chinchy , and some were heavy handed. Overall , I would return to the venue knowing how the seating works now.
