Stamna Taverna

What an amazing place! It was our first time here, and everything exceeded expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and everything came out quickly. I had the stuffed bell peppers, and my husband had the gyro platter, both were excellent. The service was incredibly kind and friendly, and the atmosphere truly transports you to Greece. Such a beautiful, welcoming place to enjoy a meal with family and have a great time. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

I love Stamna!! They have the best Greek food ever! I got their stuffed chicken breast. The food was very good, as always! very generous portions for the price and the quality is fantastic! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who loves greek food and mediterranean food. Great job, guys!

Amazing restaurant experience. Everything was excellent, from the food to the atmosphere. The staff member who took care of us, originally from Albania, was especially attentive and knowledgeable—he explained every dish in detail and made great recommendations. We truly enjoyed our time and felt very well taken care of. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Greek dining experience.

I recently took my girlfriend out for a Greek dinner at Stamna Taverna, and it was an experience worth sharing. It had been a while since we last had Greek food, especially since their Little Falls location closed so this was our first time visiting the Bloomfield spot. Even on a busy Saturday night with a full house, we were impressed that we were seated within just 10 minutes. Before dinner, we stopped next door at Brookdale Wine & Spirits to pick up a bottle of Greek white wine, which paired perfectly with the meal. From the moment we sat down, our waiter, Michaelis, made the experience even better. He was attentive, honest, and extremely helpful when it came to navigating the menu. His recommendations on portion sizes and dishes made ordering easy and enjoyable. For dinner, I ordered the moussaka, and my girlfriend had the broiled branzino, both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We ended the night with ekmek for dessert, along with a Greek coffee for me and a cappuccino for her, which was the perfect way to wrap up the meal. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The restaurant had a great energy, the service was excellent across the board, and the food truly felt authentic and satisfying. A special thank you to Michaelis for making our night memorable and for recommending a dessert to try next time (I believe it was Bougatsa!). I highly recommend Stamna Taverna if you’re looking for a delicious, authentic Greek lunch or dinner. We’ll definitely be back.

This was for takeout so I can only comment on the food, which I highly recommend. The lamb gyro platter is a great choice, it includes a side of salad, pitas, tzatziki, and a choice of lemon potatoes, fries or more salad.. the lemon potatoes are the way to go for me.. but they are all good choices.

I like that we can bring our own bottle to drink. The food was delicious and portions were very generous. Fish was very fresh and delicious. If you dont have reservation they still accommodate you. Victor who served us, he was awesome. Thank you

My husband and I brought his mom here for her birthday lunch. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, with a colorful bar. It reminded me of when I was in Greece. When we sat down, we got complimentary bread with olive oil and a small bowl of olives. We started with a chicken-rice lemon soup. The bowl was bigger than expected and the soup was delicious- very lemony. His mom ordered shrimp kebabs and we both ordered chicken slouvaki with lemon potatoes. Excellent food! We got sparkling water that was imported from Greece that was very good. Our waiter was so attentive and accommodating- a very kind, hard-working man. We will be back!

Had food delivered. Four dishes, all poor and underseasoned. Fries were underseasoned and mushy, the air fryer salvaged slightly. Chicken in the kabob wasnt good and the side potatoes were flavorless. Greek salad was both very wet, yet with no taste. Falafel sandwich was fine at best. Had loved the food here in the past but not a single dish tonight that was more than mediocre. It's very expensive for poor quality. Not what you are looking for.
