If you’re traveling through Bentonville and love discovering meaningful hidden gems, the Museum of Native American History is an absolute must-stop. We travel the country always on the lookout for unique coffee shops, great food, and experiences that add depth to our trips and this museum completely delivered. As someone who loves history, I was blown away by the depth of knowledge and culture presented here, especially for a free museum. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, educational, and incredibly engaging. We walked away learning so much about Native American history and heritage in a way that felt both respectful and fascinating. To top it off, the gift shop had some really beautiful, authentic items we ended up purchasing a few meaningful pieces to take home with us. This place truly made our trip better. Highly recommend stopping in you won’t regret it.

A great experience for the family. I was really impressed with their collections! The Mammoth skeleton was very impressive. My kids really enjoyed it and learned some interesting things about ancient Americans. I highly recommend this place.

As a Native American , I was very pleased with the knowledgeable staff and friendly environment. Very well done and the audio device for the self tour was great and informative! Would definitely recommend stopping there and spending time learning about the artifacts and history of My people!!!! T. T. P. S. There is no admission fee, they are funded by donations, so if you go be kind and support this excellent resource of knowledge and education 🐢🦬🦋

Great museum of indigenous people's history in America. Examples of all sorts of art, tools and other artifacts. 1-2 hour visit, and it's donation based.

Beautiful Museum with a lot of facts and information about history. The gift store is mostly filled with actual stuff made by Native American artists. Wheelchair accessible and there was also Spanish in some parts of the museum, with free entry. Amazing experience and we will recommend to family and friends!

This was a cool museum! Lots of artifacts! Tons of arrowheads! I was really impressed with the two authentic winter counts! I could’ve stood there and looked at the symbols on the winter counts for quite a while! The museum part wasn’t very exciting for my kids (ages 6, 8 and 14), but they were engaged with trying to find one artifact from each of the six time periods! (This was a “scavenger hunt” given to them at the front when we came in.) The kids absolutely LOVED finding arrowheads in the front rocks at the end! They could’ve searched for hours! That is a really cute way to engage kids! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly! This is a free museum!
