We went this past weekend and it was beautiful, I’m still thinking about it. It made for a lovely date, I loved walking around the gardens and the butterfly enclosure had the most amazing looking butterflies. They had this fancy wooden castle playground kids would love. But we as well as a few other people behind us couldn’t help but going in it and checking it out 😂 I can’t wait to go back again one day.

Daniel Stowe Conservancy is a genuinely impressive destination. The grounds are significantly more expansive than expected, offering multiple well-maintained trails that weave through diverse horticultural collections. Highlights include beautifully curated flower beds, mature and striking tree specimens, elegant water features, and thoughtfully placed art installations throughout the landscape. The experience rewards a full afternoon visit and provides ample opportunity for both leisurely strolling and more active exploration. The butterfly enclosure was closed for the season during my visit, which was a disappointment, but the remainder of the conservancy more than compensated. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and restorative. The orchid conservatory at Daniel Stowe Botanical Conservancy is an exceptional feature of the overall property and an absolute highlight of any visit. The conservatory maintains a humid, controlled environment ideal for the cultivation of a wide and diverse collection of orchid varieties. The range of species on display is impressive, and the quality and health of the plants reflects excellent horticultural care. Walking through the conservatory feels immersive and genuinely beautiful - the variety of colors, forms, and sizes among the orchid collection is remarkable. The humidity is noticeable upon entering, but it is entirely appropriate given the environment and did not detract from the experience. This is a must-see stop within the conservancy and serves as a wonderful conclusion to a full garden visit. Highly recommended for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a meaningful outdoor experience in the Charlotte area.

I recently visited Daniel Stowe Conservancy and it was truly an amazing experience. The entire facility is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. From the moment you arrive, you can tell a lot of care has gone into preserving the space and making it welcoming. What stood out to me the most were the trails. There are so many to explore, and each one offers its own peaceful and scenic experience. Whether you’re looking to take a relaxing walk, clear your mind, or just enjoy nature, this place delivers. The atmosphere is calm, refreshing, and perfect for anyone needing a break from the noise of everyday life. I had an incredible time and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates nature, beauty, and a well-kept outdoor space.

I visited on a cool cloudy Sunday afternoon about 11am. It was not crowded and a lovely walk in the garden and trails. My favorite was the orchid greenhouse was ... devine. There were great trails in the forest area. It felt so good to be in nature, smell the lavender, another favorite.

This place is absolutely beautiful. I took my engagement photos here. Monica was great from the first time I went there just see it and when I arrive to take my photos. I would recommend just visiting this place and see the beautiful gardens.

Our family loves Daniel Stowe during all times of the year. However, there is just something so magical and special to visit during the holiday season. The staff is always friendly. Everything is always neat and welcoming. Entrance fees are reasonable. There is always plenty of parking. I mean, does it get any better?

I went on 1/28/26 and it was a dry day after it had snowed a few days earlier. I only saw 2 other people there. Very quiet!! The tunnel pond was frozen over. The grounds were pretty brown because it was winter but non the less, the orchids were gorgeous in the warm conservatory garden. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is with all the lights, ice sculptures or Chinese Lanterns! I live in CA so I won’t be returning but I would return in Spring if I lived closer.
