The Basilica is a beautiful Catholic church, the first in the United States according to the tour guide. I went to the 10:30 Sunday Mass and was blessed to watch a baptism. They also offered a tour after mass that was just over an hour to see the beautiful church and learn about the history. I drove in from Harrisburg PA and spent the day in Baltimore. Beautiful day trip and highly recommend!

America's first catholic cathedral. It has an impressive Roman style architectural facade. Frescos and sculptures on the interior are beautiful. This is not the biggest cathedral I have visited, but it does impress with history and style.

Beautiful historical building. Not a catholic or christian, but the church was beautiful. I can see that it has been here for awhile but still beautiful. Not many people were there during the weekday. I think there is a tour upon a request for the basement area where all the historical artifacts are stored. Idk how the mass is like but i think the priest I came across today was really friendly. I recommend here on weekdays because weddings may happen on weekend

Beautiful church! Very peaceful place to pray. I don't know about the average Sunday, but at the Corpus Cristi Mass, there was a professional choir singing in Latin.

The first catholic Basilica of North America. It was earlier the cathedral and now elevated to the Basilica. The Crypt church is good and has weekdays masses

Went site seeing and The Baltimore Basilica was a great place I found to walk around in and look over! It's big, can definitely support a large congregation and is not only clean and easy to move around in, but very pleasantly atmospheric and pretty all around! There are multiple levels to, woth the underground having an interesting old crypt like feel to it that is just very neat, while the top most section is ornate and a cool mix of old and modern architecture! I wish I could comment on people working there BUT, I don't think any of the holy 0eople or guides were there so I cannot comment on either! My only gripe with anything is they DID have some construction going on which made it impossible to get through the front door, but aside from that? You can't really go wrong with a free to visit awesome place like the Baltimore Basilica and I highly recommend it for people wanting a nice walk through in one of the US' oldest well kept religious buildings! Pictures and videos are of the outside and inside of the building and its multiple levels of ornate grandeur!

Gorgeous Catholic Basilica. I stopped by on Sunday after service to pray in private and to take photos. The Basilica offers so much history and the building itself is gorgeous inside and out. There’s no admissions fee and they were welcoming to walk ins.

America's first Catherdal, the crypt is beautiful and something you have to experience while exploring this historic Catholic Landmark. Make sure you're respectful while touring the basilica as the church is still used daily for mass.
