24th Street Cafe

24th Street Café is a solid spot, especially when it comes to service. The staff here really stands out—everyone is friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you’re taken care of. Orders come out fast, drinks stay filled, and you never feel like you’re waiting around, even when it gets busy. That kind of service definitely makes the experience enjoyable. The food itself is good and hits the spot, especially for a classic diner-style breakfast. Portions are generous and everything comes out hot, but flavor-wise it doesn’t quite reach that “wow” level. It’s satisfying and reliable, just not necessarily something that stands out compared to other breakfast spots. Overall, it’s a great place if you value excellent service and a smooth, easy dining experience. With just a little more punch in flavor, it could easily be a 5-star spot.

We were very lucky to find this restaurant on the way to Yosemite National Park. The friendliness of the staff and the excellent service made the experience even better. Thanks to you, the pumpkin pancake has become one of our favorite breakfasts from now on!

Absolutely best breakfast food we have tried. Place was busy whn we got there and when we left. Even though they were soooo busy service was sooo gd and fast. Our host was a young kid so graceful and our waiter was a tall slender man with sliver hair didn't get his name but he was very attentive. Definitely will tell all our friends and colleagues. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Sarah was Amazing A++++++ Honestly I searched in Google best breakfast in Bakersfield and 24th street Cafe came up. WORTH EVERY PENNY. LOVE THIS PLACE

In my opinion, this place feels a bit overhyped. The portion sizes don’t match the price, and my soyrizo omelette had visible eggshells along with small shell fragments, which made it unpleasant to eat. Luckily (or unluckily), this happened in the last two bites.

Not a bad place if you are all about the food, but the constant loud country music from the 90's and early thousands really took out conversation. The hostess was polite and got everything on the order right but was no where to be seen when we needed refills/napkins/salsa. I like that it was mostly an older generation hang, but that does lower the atmosphere some for any one uncomfortable with judgement that comes from older folks. Over all though, I would and will be back

Friendliest place in Bakersfield! They have customers walking in and being greeted like I'm in an episode of cheers at 6:30AM it's so incredibly pleasant ! It's a bit pricier than the chain cafes but the atmosphere makes it worth it. Their menu is also more diverse than most places with breakfast menus and boy can that cook make a steak 🤤 Shout out to the wait staff who were SO kind! Unbelievably kind people for how early it is and the fact that this is southern California it's like I found a rural cafe hiding in the city and it's so nice 💕
