Great comedy venue! I rate the comedian that I saw 5 out of 5 stars in the venue itself 4-4.5. We saw Lucas Zelnick and sat in the front row, which was amazing for the crowd work. Opener was solid, second opener was as funny as Lucas.
The highlights:
- Great talent
- small, intimate atmosphere. No bad seats.
- no drink minimum that I’m aware of
- Attentive staff
Opportunity for improvements:
- kind of typical well drink situation, or at least no true mixology
- bathrooms are very divey
Never been here before and not exactly the coordinates I usually visit in Austin. This place is a very cool unassuming comedy club with great AC even while the outside is 100F. Bartender is cool and the drinks are on point.
If u are early for the show like we were you have to leave the stage area and go to the back until start time. The “back” is a stage in the back yard of the comedy place equipped with a food truck. I have yet to try it but can see this night will be memorable & encourage you to try it. Happy travels!
Hayden is absolutely amazing! Such good vibes and absolutely made our experience, which says a lot for a live performance venue. Super bummed that we couldn’t try his “Grow a Pear” cocktail since it was still on the website menu. You can tell this kid is going places. Much love to ya Hayden! Glad my flight was delayed.
So fun! We saw Dulce Sloan and Lace Larrabee here and it was a great show. We came to the earlier show and street parking was easy. It's a cute, chill small venue with friendly staff and servers. We had the fries, which were super tasty (got a second serving bc they were so good). We definitely appreciate a small quality venue with great talent at reasonable prices (vs. spending 100's to see comedians at larger Austin venues). Planning to come back soon!
We had an Absolute blast here last weekend when we saw Ryan Long and Steve Francois. The staff was incredible; the drinks were refreshingly good. They were shy a few seats for the show and really went out of their way to accommodate us and set us up a private table Thanks for one hell of an evening. Steve Francois was such a personable guy that we ended up sharing a laugh and a drink after the show, we will be back to see him again!
We had a good experience at The Creek and the Cave, but that was prior to this evening. We paid a lot of $$ for the show that we attended tonight. We did expect more from a nationally famous comedian, well-known for his residency on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update". We believed that Michael Che would be fun to see live. It was an unfathomable disappointment. The host was entertaining, and we recognize her for that. The opener... mid at best. The headliner?... Expected more from you, dude. My wife wonders why I will stay up late to watch SNL on network TV. For me, it is mostly because I can rely on Weekend Update for some real laughs.
We left the show tonight, after about 20 minutes of Che. Not trying to be rude here. Just honest. Come on, man. Work up a set. Deliver a real comedy product, bro. We were counting on you.
Had a wonderful time at the Monday shows! The staff was great, especially at the door. Matt, the bouncer, made us feel at home right off the bat! My husband and I have been to the venue a few times, and it was nice to finally see some representation in the staff! Beautiful night!
Dropped in here the other day to check out the open mic. It was in some tight crowded space outside in the blistering TX heat, so I opted to leave. I know they hold the mics indoors atleast sometimes; when I headed to the stage some douchey kid told me to use the back hallway, was extremely rude. I wasnt able to close my tab, they charged me $9 for a PBR. Trashy place.
