Psari is a hidden gem in Long Island City. The restaurant is much bigger inside than it appears from the outside and has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We started with the seafood soup which was packed with fish. Then we ordered shrimps, mussels, and clams and it was honestly enough for a full meal by itself. The garlic bread they brought to the table fresh and warm was such a nice touch. Service was top notch the entire night with constant drink refills and staff making sure everything was perfect. You can really tell they care about their customers here. Definitely coming back again soon.

Went here on a whim before work. Everything was great and felt full even before we got the main. They give you garlic bread beforehand to munch on. The main comes with either lemon potatoes/french fries (not pictured) or rice, etc. opted for lemon potatoes cus I mean cmon, it’s a standard Greek dish. (Very tasty). Mussels in marinara might’ve been my favorite thing. Considering it’s an appetizer, they give you a pretty good amount and the sauce was just perfect. Crab cake was good too, however could’ve used a bit more salt (they have extra on the table anyway). Mahi Mahi was great too, not dry, and the sauce was great. Decent prices considering its seafood and service was good too.
I was here with my family as i treated them out! Being that the restaurant is presented is a seafood restuarant, they defintely have a lot seafood options with many different fish types. They also have of other variety of other kinds of food options as well for people that dont want seafood. The waiters were attentive. I will definitely come back here.
Nice Greek restaurant with a welcoming environment. The restaurant is very clean and there is attention to detail. Our waitress was attentive and food came out promptly. We got the Mahi Mahi and Salmon. Both portions were generous and fresh. The complimentary dessert was a nice touch.
One of my favorite Greek spots in the city. Been coming here all my life I highly recommend getting the octopus salad. It’s amazing
Came here for a special dinner and so glad we did. Staff was very attentive and timely and friendly. Had to try their seafood soup! We loved it! Sangria was really good for a person like me who doesn't drink and hasn't in over a year or two. Food was soooo good and filling. We ended up sharing the chicken platter. It was so much food even for two people, had some left overs for the next day. I'm still getting used to eating seafood and I'm glad I went with it at this spot. I can see why people love it here. Prices are also reasonable for a nice local dining experience. Everything 5 stars!
Fantastic service. We got seated right away. The restaurant is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Just past the bar there is plenty of seating in the back as it opens into a larger dining area. There is also plenty of seating outside but it was a cold fall night and the sidewalk is a little too loud and busy for dining. For drinks we went with the white sangria. As pointed out by the wait staff. The carafe is a better deal. Same price as two but you get a little more. It came out sweet but not too strong. The fresh fruit were a nice treat to chew on. For our meal, we started with the mixed seafood soup. Only offered two days a week, one of those days being Friday. The way the waitress described it sounded like it would be so hearty and it was. Had everything in it for 12 bucks. See the pics. It was a great deal. A very large bowl could even be consider a full meal. For an appetizer we went with the crab cake. Came out warm and tasted so fresh. A good size too. The condiments went welll with it. Tasted fresh from Maryland. Felt like we ate so much already but for the entree We spilt the chicken souvlaki platter. Another huge portion. Was so tasted but we couldn’t finish it all. Had enough to take home. The lemon potato’s as the side were yummy too. The garlic bread on the table. Freshly made was a goood touch. The cappacuniob was frothy and delicious. The star berry birthday cake slice was plate living good. They gave us a coupon for 20% off the next meal over 100 dollars. We willl certainly be back again. Service was very attentive during the meal. Extra napkins. Water refills. Asking us how the food. was throughly the meal. Overall an excellent dining experience.
Psari on 36th Avenue in LIC has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants in Queens. The lunch specials are honestly one of the best deals around — fresh fish, soup or salad, generous portions, and excellent service for a great price. Hard to beat for the quality you get. Now that the weather is warmer, the outdoor dining setup is perfect. It has such a great atmosphere whether you’re going for a date night, dinner with friends, or just a relaxing meal after work. The white sangria paired perfectly with the fresh seafood and was one of the highlights of the night. What really stands out here besides the food is the service. You never have to wave someone down or wait around for help. The owner Yonni and the rest of the staff are always attentive, friendly, and completely on top of everything throughout the meal. Yonni treats you as if you are family. From the warm garlic bread to the fresh seafood and welcoming atmosphere, everything about this place feels authentic and enjoyable. Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Long Island City. Highly recommended.
