The Montford Rooftop Bar

I went for drinks with friends, so we did not end up trying the food this time, but the drinks were good! We had the Capri-fun and espresso martini! Both great options! The service was great and the vibes were amazing with scenic views! Would definitely recommend for a rooftop bar with a good atmosphere and amazing view of the mountains!

My friend and I had such a great experience at Montford Rooftop Bar! Our server, Anita, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and on top of things, which made the whole experience feel seamless. The cocktails were excellent—well balanced and not overly sweet (which I really appreciate). And the food completely delivered. The bacon-wrapped chorizo-stuffed dates might be one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had—seriously so good. The hand-rolled tater tots with the homemade beet ketchup were also a standout. And the views… even after living in Asheville for 11 years, I’m still blown away by the mountain backdrop from this spot. My only minor frustration was being charged a “bar bump” after moving to a different spot to get out of the direct sun—even though we kept the same server. That piece felt a little off. Overall, though, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is breathtaking with the views! Jon and Nils are the duo behind the bar and they make you feel welcome! The espresso martini is delicious! The roasted beets appetizer along with rose wine was a perfect combo. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good atmosphere and attentive service 🩷

Do yourself a favor and hit up The Montford Rooftop Bar! It’s on the 8th floor of the Doubletree Hilton in Asheville, NC, and you just hop on the elevator right outside the hotel’s main entrance. The weather was kinda meh during our visit, but the atmosphere was still awesome. It wasn’t crowded when we went, bc of the weather, but I’d prob make a reservation on a nice day. The staff was super nice, El at the front desk was a gem, and our waiter Ambrose made the night even better with his great service. They’ve got many food options on their seasonal menu, and a variety of drink options. The food was very good, we got the truffle fries, short rib mac and cheese, and a peach ham pistachio flatbread! Also, for it being small plates the portion sizes were great! Can’t wait to go back when the weather’s nicer, but honestly, it’s the Smoky Mountains, so you know how it goes. Completely worth checking out!

Quaint rooftop bar (small, but in a good way, intimate) with yummy appetizers. The sunset view is one of the best in Asheville. Haley and Conner were absolutely great in taking care of me close to closing time. Gracious! FYI: separate elevator just to the Montford before Doubletree lobby doors. Guests of Doubletree need to go back down to first floor and use that elevator to get to The Montford. Enjoy.

Love love love love love!!!! We had dinner here and of course we waited til last minute but our waitress was super sweet and gave us the heads up about the kitchen closing. The views were breath taking, and the drinks were amazing! Will definitely try brunch at this phenomenal place next time we’re in town.

Ambrose provided great service and after ordering delicious Espresso Martinis he recommended the bacon chorizo wrapped dates, the pairing was perfect!

Enjoyed having Hailey as our wonderful server! She was hilarious and beyond kind, loved how interactive she was while also giving us space. 10/10 service and would definitely come back (if we lived in town)! Came after dinner across the street for a night-cap but had to order the fried green tomatoes just because they looked incredible. Drinks were fantastic and so was the food. Must go to the rooftop and ask for Hailey! You will have no regrets. I’m sure the view would’ve been amazing during the day, but the ambiance at night was perfect too.
