Mitsuwa Marketplace

Wow. I found myself in Arlington Heights, and my buddy suggested this place due to an upcoming trip to Japan in 2027. It's a Japanese market that features an amazing food court (and this is where I spent all my time.) I don't recall the name of the stall I purchased from. But I can tell you it was quick, not expensive and very filling. I had a bowl with beef and noodles; for dessert I hit the matcha dessert stall for some matcha and vanilla ice cream. The whole place meal me feel like I was dining outside the state of Illinois. The service from everyone in the market was very friendly and they even had a sake/soju tasting by the front door (and the vendors allowed you try was much as you wanted.) I highly recommend this spot

Truly amazing Japanese market, filled to the brim with delights of all kinds. Visiting this place felt less like a grocery trip and more of an immersive experience. They sadly lost a star, due to not accepting EBT (which is important to me, personally). It won’t stop me from visiting again, though!

Visited the marketplace on the weekend. The grocery selection is huge and prices are reasonable. I bought roll cakes and drinks, which were tasty. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to shop for Japanese treats.

Big Japanese store, good food and clean bathroom. We came here for lunch. It has lots of good food and grocery and other essentials use. Also have the strawberry from Japan.

So much amazing merch and food from Japan. The snack selection, food court, and the book store are my fave. There are so many different hot, fresh food options. Definitely a cool place to walk around and leave with a full stomach.

Their sushi bar offers consistently fresh and delicious options, and the bakery items are a treat. The store is exceptionally clean, and the layout makes it easy to navigate without feeling crowded. Staff members are always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help you find exactly what you need. The prices are fair for the quality, and there are many unique items you won’t find in regular grocery stores. If you enjoy Japanese cuisine or just appreciate high-quality food and great service, this supermarket is definitely worth visiting. It opens at 9am daily !

I went here with some coworkers who had been here before. It's really cool in here. It's got a grocery store, food court, book store, gacha machines, and even a gunpla store. It was really cool to see all the different Japanese goods. The spicy miso ramen was an excellent lunch. I'll definitely be here again next time I'm in the area!
