Took my 5 year old grandson for the first time and we had a great time. He engaged with the docents and he enjoyed the interactive displays. He especially enjoyed the dinosaurs and mastadons as well as the pterosaur.

This is a very fun place that is free to check out if you are a Dino lover or enjoy minerals !! The exploring Michigan exhibit was really fascinating there was a lot I did not know we really loved to read everything they had to offer !! The gems and minerals my goodness gracious I could’ve spent a day just reading all of those labels !!! I truly thought I’d seen quite a few gems already but they had some that I’ve never seen anywhere that was 100% my favorite part I was literally speechless 😶 I did love all the things that said please touch like the petrified wood !! I put my head inside the Dino’s mouth because they said I could touch it sooooo that was fun really let me understand how a Dino would gobble me right up lol!! I walked inside a cell like on magic school bus we also did a fingerprint lab 🥼 Definitely recommend checking this out it’s good for all ages !!!

A small free musuem right on campus. Great for the students. My 14 year daughter was bummed we didn't see anyone working in the lab at the time. The dinosaur books in the gift shop were great.

This museum is pretty small and the exhibits are underwhelming. The interactive stations were closed when we visited on the weekend. I appreciate that it's free/donation based entry. The building and entrance are hard to find once you've found parking, which takes a few circles around the block even if you're familiar to the area. It's a maze of zigzaging roundabout sidewalks to find the front door. The crystals were our favorite part.

Very well done museum. It is small but interesting to all age children and adults. Exhibits include fossils, bones, minerals, genetics and more. The museum is blended into the functional Bioscience building with offices and labs.

Don't like that we were told the entrance was up stairs when my daughter was clearly very pregnant. The museum was very nice though, we enjoyed our visit.

THIS IS NOT A MUSEUM!!!! It is just a learning center with replica (fake) fossils/bones. I was told that 90-95% percent of their inventory is not real and that this is more of a learning center than a “museum”. It was very disappointing especially when I was told the large bones of the extinct mammal (when you first walk in) is fake… mind you I drove around 45 minutes just to visit this place. Thankfully they didn’t charge me a dollar otherwise I’d be complaining while I’m asleep.

Fun and free (though donations are appreciated and you should support your local museum) 🦖 Lots of educational signage with exhibits, plenty to see and learn about.
