This Masjid (IIOC) is a wonderful Mosque and Organization. It is a great blessing to do Salah (Islamic Prayer) here. It is clean, serene, amazing and beautiful. They help new Muslim reverts with free sessions, with guidance from wonderful Islamic scholars. Jamaal and other staff members are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this sacred Mosque for everyone and especially those who are interested in learning about Islam. May Almighty Allah SWT bless and guide us all. Ameen! 🤲🏻
As a revert of about a year and a half, I've had such a positive experience at this masjid. The community is incredibly welcoming, and you can really feel the warmth and sincerity from everyone here. I especially want to thank Jamaal, who reached out to me about the program and made me feel genuinely supported from the start. The class was thoughtful and engaging, the space was cleaned and well-maintained, and the staff/volunteers go out of their way to make newcomers feel at home. It's clear this masjid genuinely cares about building a strong, supportive community — especially for those of us who are still learning and growing in our deen. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to pray and connect.
Visiting the mosque as a new convert has been one of the most beautiful and grounding experiences of my life. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into an environment that felt genuinely loving, supportive, and deeply understanding. Especially as a new Muslim, stepping into a sacred space can feel overwhelming—but instead, I felt held, seen, and embraced with grace.
The teaching for new converts has been nothing short of exceptional. Every person involved approaches learning with patience, compassion, and sincerity, creating a space where questions—no matter how uncomfortable or challenging—are not only allowed, but encouraged. There is no judgment, only a shared intention to grow, understand, and walk this path together.
I want to especially highlight Jamal, whose presence has been a true gift. His beautiful energy, humor, and genuine love shine through in every interaction. He has an incredible ability to make difficult conversations feel safe and approachable, always applying grace and wisdom no matter the topic. What stands out most is his consistency and availability—he shows up not only during teaching sessions, but also beyond them, offering support, guidance, and reassurance whenever it’s needed.
This mosque has become more than a place of worship for me; it has become a community and a home. The care, intention, and love poured into new converts make the journey into Islam feel less daunting and more deeply meaningful. I am profoundly grateful for this space and for the people within it who embody the beauty of faith through their actions.
My wife and I are both reverts to Islam, and from the moment we walked into the IIOC Masjid, we felt genuinely welcomed and supported. Starting a new journey in Islam can feel overwhelming at times, but the community here made us feel like family.
One thing that really stood out was their program for new Muslims. They provide guidance, education, and support for anyone who is new to Islam, interested in learning about Islam, or simply wants to ask questions and better understand the faith. It’s an amazing resource and shows how committed they are to helping people learn and grow.
A huge shoutout to Jamaal, who went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and helping us on our journey. His kindness, patience, and willingness to help made a lasting impression on us.

I had a truly meaningful experience at this mosque, where I took my shahada during Ramadan after spending some time reflecting on my faith. I had initially reached out to Jamaal but didn’t hear back right away, so I decided to attend a Sunday morning class for new Muslims and reverts. By chance, I ran into him in the lobby that day.
The lecture was very informative, and the community was incredibly welcoming. I had already been exploring Islam for a while, and after the class, Jamaal asked me what was holding me back from becoming Muslim. Honestly, nothing was—so I made the decision right there to take my shahada.
Although I’ve been busy with work, the times I’ve been able to attend have been wonderful. Being around other new reverts has been a great experience and Jamaal does an amazing job running the dawah program. His dedication really shows and makes a big difference.
They also provided me with an English translation of the Quran, a prayer rug, and helpful pamphlets about Islam, which I really appreciated. The mosque offers a variety of classes, many of which I’ve attended, and the environment is always friendly and supportive.
I’m truly grateful to have a place like this in the community.

This mosque has an absolutely incredible new Muslim program. From the first time we came here, we felt welcomed! The mosque itself is beautiful and the community is wonderful and inviting. I would highly recommend the new Muslim program to any reverts, or to anyone simply looking into learning more about Islam. The environment encourages asking questions and seeking clarification on any and all topics related to Islam. The team works very hard to ensure that everyone feels included, seen, and they share invaluable resources when they see a need. Check them out!!
I’ve had the opportunity to visit IIOC a few times and attended the Fast With A Muslim event twice and both times I’ve gone, my family and I felt very welcomed and felt it helped us a lot as we’re trying to learn more about Islam. I’ve gone back with my family after attending the events and we had so many questions to ask and brother Jamaal was very helpful with answering any questions we had regarding Islam. This mosque and everyone who’s helped us left an amazing impression on my family and I that we hope to continue to keep coming back :’)
