Milk Maids

Wow what a lovely little find. We discovered this on Tiktok just a few miles away from where we live. Menu has a great selection of Coffees, Ice Creams and cakes. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We had ice lattes with a stunning cinnamon roll and a side of ice cream for the little one. Made with love and care by the staff. Strongly recommend and would visit again 🫶

Not a massive selection but portion sizes are good, staff are very friendly, and they don’t mess around when it comes to adding chocolate etc. Overall a very good spot for some delicious ice cream; make sure to try the cinnamon bun flavour it’s unreal!

Absolutely loved the Liquorice and blackcurrant ice cream. You can taste the quality and premium ingredients. The staff are warm, caring and friendlly. The ice cream scoops are extremely generous and tubs were over filling with just two scoops. One scoop was enough (equal to two scoops at other places in Bolton). We also picked up fresh eggs, sourdough bread and milk. Thank you.

I go for the raw milk, which is produced in-house, and it’s awesome to have the option to buy that. I’m also mad about rum & raisin ice cream (ice-cream in general 😁) but one look at the ingredients and thanks but no thanks! The shop does look great and the “maids” have always been super friendly and polite. There’s also a butcher but I’ve yet to visit.

A spectacular variety of different flavours, enough to make any adult feel like their a child in a sweet shop 🥹 The Manchester tart looked amazing 🤩 but the Jaffa cake won me 😋 10/10 worth a visit

We visited just before lunchtime and managed to get a table. The sun kiss ice cream was especially delicious 😋

Never mind the best ice cream in the north west, this could quite possibly be the best ice cream in the whole country. I have been coming for a few years now and it never fails. The menu changes slightly every month (check the instagram page) in advance if you want to pre choose or just turn up and see what takes your pick. For this reason I can’t recommend a specific flavour.I’ve not had a bad one yet! I always opt for the chocolate shot at the bottom of the cone it’s takes it to that extra level 🤩 Please be respectful of the local area and the neighbours as it does get busy in the summer and on weekends.

The ice cream was fantastic, and the milk bun was an absolute winner. The hot-and-cold combination worked brilliantly, although eating it without wearing some of it should probably qualify as an Olympic sport. Messy? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. A word of warning: it's on a working farm, so there are farm smells. If the scent of the countryside offends your delicate city sensibilities, you may need a moment to compose yourself. Personally, I'd be more concerned if a farm didn't smell like a farm. The staff were friendly, helpful, and got our order sorted quickly. Prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and everyone left happy (and slightly stickier than when they arrived). I'd definitely come back. 😄
