I found the Thames Rockets by “accident” in my Point-A hotel which offered a deal for 30% off on the tickets for guests. Since I love boats, I booked spontaneously the Rebel London tour (which is the newer boat model). While you are waiting for boarding, you get a pre-ride security/safety introduction/demonstration - and that was already a good time, with all the necessary information and warnings but including quite some humor as well. The ride itself was a blast, funny and witty commentary, a good playlist and the speeding part was amazing. I had so much fun that I immediately booked another tour an hour later this time Ultimate London Adventure (which is the original boat). Check-In and pre-ride safety instructions were as humorous as for the first tour and I loved the second ride very much. If that wouldn’t have been the last tour of the day, I would have booked another ride. Be aware that the boarding of the boat is in order of the check-in times. So if you want a guaranteed spot at the very bow, you should maybe arrive earlier than the required 15 minutes and do the check-in with the crew member at the pier. I’m very happy that I tried both tours – if you are debating my observations (for both tours I sat portside in the back): Rebel: Fancy boat, more single seats (in pairs) and you can buckle in. You are higher above the water surface and the spacing from the seats to the edge of the boat is wider, which gives a more distance to the Thames) and feels a little like you are flying over the river during the speed run due to the elevated seating position. The acoustics are fantastic front and back in this boat. I was able to understand the guide very well and heard every song perfectly fine. Ultimate: the original (inflatable motorboat?). Smaller and gives a cosier feeling. You are seating down in the boat and there is no gap between the seats and the boat. So you are very close to the water. It feels more like a classical boat ride – you really feel the river. If you are in the back, the sound of the motor is quite loud, so unfortunately, I had I hard time to understand, what the guide was saying. The music was also harder to hear. And I don’t know if it was because we were the last tour of the day or if this occurs regulary with the Ultimate, but after the speed part we all got offered a beer from our Guide (Stephen?) (or nonalcoholic beverage), which was the perfect ending for the tour and day. For both rides: The stories and explanations of the guides were great and full of humor and the kept us well entertained. And the speeding part was very exhilarating (they are not just driving in a straight line but serving, swinging and dipping across the whole width of the river. I liked the acoustics of the Rebel better, but with the closeness to the water and feeling the river even more, I would book the Ultimate more often. Big shout out to all the team members (sorry I’m bad with names and there were a lot of you guys 😉) for providing such an amazing experience. If you have time and want to have some really fun time in London would absolutely recommend you try out the Thames rockets. I will definitely book a tour with them again in November (I asked, and yes, they are running tours the whole year).

Incredible!! Without doubt one of the best experiences we have been on. Superb hosts with Andy behind the wheel and Ed adding the music, intel and energy. We did the 40 minute trip from Bankside to the Thames Barrier. The sights were amazing and always different when viewed from the water. The boat ride was incredible, speed and wow factor as good as it gets 🥳 weather amazing 🙏☀️huge thanks again and we haven’t stopped talking about it. We will be back 💙🚤

I booked this Thames speedboat ride for my son’s 17th birthday, and it completely exceeded our expectations! We arrived at the boarding pier and were quickly given a short safety briefing along with our life jackets. After a smooth, gentle cruise past all the iconic London sights on the Thames, the music suddenly kicked in, the engines roared to life, and the real fun began! In seconds, we were flying down the river at high speed, weaving and turning sharply as water sprayed up around us, all perfectly timed to an upbeat soundtrack. It was such an exhilarating, heart-pumping experience – pure adrenaline and joy from start to finish. The entire trip lasted about an hour and felt like the perfect mix of sightseeing and thrill ride. A massive shout-out to Jay and Quinny on board – their energy, humour, and professionalism really made the experience even better. They kept the vibe fun and looked after everyone brilliantly. Highly recommended for families, teenagers, or anyone looking for a memorable and exciting way to see London from the river. My son absolutely loved it – best birthday activity we’ve done in years.

The best experience we had in london. Ours was the last group on todays tour and what a spectacular ride was provided by Steve and Alek. Steve was so informative and provided insights about the monuments on thames and the thrill ride from Alek was out of the world. Special shout out to Georgia and Jack at the pier for being so kind and making the whole experience memorable

Thames rockets is one of the best experiences you can have in London. It's a real thrill of a ride and when the James Bond moment arrives it takes the ride to another level. The ride itself is brilliant but what elevates it further is the guide. Out tour guide Geoff is super knowledgeable and a real bundle of laughs. He includes everyone and makes the whole journey memorable ✨️

I had a fantastic experience with Thames Rockets London. From start to finish, everything was well organized and highly professional. The staff were friendly, safety-focused, and made the whole ride exciting and comfortable at the same time. I went there to record a full YouTube video, and the experience was absolutely amazing for filming. The speedboat ride was thrilling, with stunning views of London landmarks combined with high-speed action on the Thames. The skipper and guide were brilliant, sharing interesting facts with great energy and humor throughout the journey. Overall, it was a very good experience and perfect for adventure lovers and content creators. If anyone needs a guide or wants to see what the ride is like, you can watch the full experience on “Saqib Ali Official” YouTube channel. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back again!
