Jack and the chef Samantha served us oxtail, rice and peas, 2 jerk fillets, and plantain! It was a lovely experience. You can really taste the aromatics and the high quality of the ingredients. Customer service was 10/10, with frequent check-ins on our meal that I appreciated. The presentation was great and the food was quickly served. The portions were just right (you finish the food without saying you want more)! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want Caribbean food with a unique twist!

My friends and I had a really good night. We enjoyed the food and the portions were very good, generous and satisfying. The atmosphere was great as well, with nice music that created a lovely vibe throughout the evening. A special thank you to Rashawna, who served us during the night. She was a really lovely waitress, very friendly and attentive, which made our experience even better. Overall, we had a great time and would happily come back again.
Ordered some food for someone who was feeling unwell, and it was exactly what they needed. The pumpkin soup, rum cake, and ginger shot were all absolutely delicious. The gentleman who served me was so friendly, kind, generous and helpful. Great food, great service, and a genuinely lovely person. Highly recommend Paradise Cove!
I have to be honest, I did not fully enjoy my experience here. I visited this restaurant due to all the great reviews I’d seen on Instagram and TikTok but was really disappointed with the food and welcome that we received. What I did like was the restaurant design, as it reminded me of being in Jamaica. I love the layout and decor and can’t praise this enough. The waiter was nice and helpful which made up for the cold and off putting welcome we received from the owner. I was ready to walk out but we had travelled a long way to try the food and was also celebrating a birthday. In terms of the food, the salt fish fritters were okay. We ordered the jerk chicken which for us personally lacked any kind flavour and the jerk was definitely missing! It was beyond bland and highly disappointing as was the rice and roti. The chips were okay. The menu prices for me do not reflect the quality of food received. I have no problem with paying a high amount if what I’m eating tastes good. I wouldn’t personally visit this restaurant again and would not recommend it based on my experience. However, if you’re curious then go and check it out for yourself.
Amazing food and great cocktails! Lovely atmosphere and service
Paradise Cove Battersea is legit the best vibrant gem in south London, radiating true Caribbean warmth, colour, and uplifting reggae rhythms. I FELT LIKE I WAS AT HOME The jerk chicken is tender and richly BANGING while the vegan stews and plantain dishes were comforting, flavourful depth. Just give Chef tee and Rash time. They totaly look after you. The small team gave great service and the place feels genuinely friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed, community-driven atmosphere... I really loved the wooden carvings. The DIY décor brings an authentic touch that enhances the lively setting. Every visit feels like a celebration of culture, food, and good vibes. Overall, this place is not to be missed. It is joyful, soulful spot delivering both delicious dishes and an unforgettable, feel-good dining experience. I would recommend the rum punch, pimento slush. Strong!!!
The restaurant is very "homely", which was nice. We did have to ask for the music to be changed, but once they changed it to reggae, the vibe was spot on (sorry but house/techno/pop is not the vibe!). Stick to Carribbean music only lol. On OpenTable, they advertised BYO drinks, so we bought a bottle of prosecco. We were told we couldn't drink it as they no longer do that. This was a BIG opportunity missed to make the customers happy. It was not our fault that your online information was not up to date, so therefore you should have accommodated us. I would have given 5 stars if we were able to drink our drink, we would have happily paid corkage. Building rapport with customers should always be the goal, especially if the fault is on your side. Also the website had a whole menu missing. This is just very slack and unprofessional. Although this left a bitter taste in my mouth, I ordered a cocktail (light and stormy) which was banging!! Keep that up. The saltfish fritters were very doughy. Saltfish was lacking. Maybe this is the Jamaican way, but I like flat crispy fritters. Maybe offer both kinds? The oxtail was delicious but unfortunately the meat was not soft, more fat than meat and there was a sweetness to it which became sickly. I prefer a deeper savoury flavour, but maybe others will like it. The roti was tasty but grilled for some reason. One side was hard and crunchy. I expect soft soft roti, I've never had a grilled roti and I personally wouldn't want that again. The plantain was beautifully cooked and perfectly ripe BUT there was some cinnamon dust or something on it... WHY??? Such a simple thing ruined. For me it's not needed. The portion sizes are spot on and the food was piping hot. Had a lovely evening but I doubt I'd return anytime soon. I travelled over an hour and unfortunately it wasn't worth the distance on this occasion.
3/5 Nice location, but the pricing felt quite misleading and the portions were much smaller than expected. The food itself was decent, however the quarter chicken was surprisingly small and the overall value for money wasn't there for us. We ended up paying considerably more than expected based on how the menu appeared to be priced. Worth visiting for the setting, but I'd recommend checking exactly what is included and the individual prices before ordering.
