We remember this place opening many years ago and it has stood the test of time. We do like the bakery products here and over time, they have expanded their offerings. There is he usual staple bakery items, plus cakea and desserts along with the now obligatory cold drinks. The only down side is that we have watching the prices go up steeply over the years, but thats the same everywhere. Worth a visit if you are in the area

A very good place to get into and grab a quick bite to takeaway, there is a table in there with a bit of seating though. All the items looked stunning and the Mango Pancake looked and tasted absolutely gorgeous; the cake was moist and the mango chunks were sweet! There is also a section in here with a huge section of trinkets (some very low quality however haha) Overall, a nice place to nip into for a snack for sure. Just be careful when paying as i saw another customer get charged more than once for their order. (most likely not in a malicious sense, but just be safe.)
Both the Mango Rice Ball and the Coconut Cream Bun were absolutely delectable. The Mango Rice Ball was filled with freshly cut Mango and it wasn't obnoxiously sweet, which made it a delight to eat. The Coconut Cream Bun was ethereal. It was so soft and light. I was craving more after demolishing the Bun in record time. Again the Cream had a balanced flavour and no hint of artifical flavours. Both the treats set us back £3.30, which is exceptional for an establishment in the Manchester City Centre.
Must try their coconut cream bun, oh my goodness it is so good, and I dont even like coconut flakes! Also got honey bun which was tasty but could have more honey on it, and the ham and cheese bun, also very tasty, but the bun is still a bit sweet so be wary if you expected a savory snack. Will definitely be returning
Great find in Manchester China town, just a shame the seating area was closed. Fresh and delicious displays, the baker and chef were making the dough in front of us. The buns and Bread we bought was fresh and delicious 👍🏼💜
Youtiao and hot tea ,such a perfect combo ☕️✨ I also had a fruit cake for my birthday, and it was absolutely delicious!! Not too sweet, with lots of fresh fruits both on top and inside. Light, refreshing, and just right. Simple but satisfying 💛
Absolutely awful service, think twice before purchasing. I recently bought a cake from this store that had visible mould on it. We did not consume it, as mould can spread spores even if it’s not fully visible. I took photos of both the mould and the cake in the bin as proof. When I contacted the store, their response was very disappointing. Despite providing photo evidence and explaining that the cake had already been disposed of in an outdoor bin, they insisted that I bring the mouldy cake back to the shop. This is completely unreasonable and unhygienic. To make matters worse, there is someone in my household with asthma, yet they still expected me to retrieve and store a mouldy cake indoors. This shows a lack of consideration for basic health risks, particularly for those with respiratory conditions. They stated this is their “policy,” to bring the cake back to the store, however internal policies do not override consumer rights, especially in cases involving faulty or potentially hazardous food products. Expecting customers to handle and return contaminated food in order to resolve an issue is not acceptable. Overall, this was a very poor experience. The lack of accountability and handling of a clear food safety issue is concerning. I will not be purchasing from here again. All photos were taken on an iPhone and include visible timestamps confirming the exact date and time; this can be verified if required. Therefore, any assumption about the timeline based solely on a message sent on Monday is incorrect. The images demonstrate that although the issue was reported on Monday, the mould was identified the following day after collection. The cake was collected on Saturday, the photos were taken on Sunday, and the issue was reported on Monday. It is also important to note that the mould may have developed earlier, as the cake remained boxed and refrigerated throughout this period. As someone running a bakery, it’s concerning to see such a lack of understanding around food safety. Mould does not remain isolated, it can spread easily, even if it appears to be limited to one area like strawberries. This is basic food hygiene knowledge. Therefore, even if it’s not visible the cake would have also been contaminated. Requesting that I store contaminated food in a freezer bag just to meet an arbitrary requirement is unreasonable and goes against Food Standards Agency guidance. This kind of response raises serious concerns about your handling of food safety, and it’s something the relevant authorities should be made aware of. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing and handled unprofessionally.
The prices are beyond fair, and everything is very pretty. I got a matcha cake and some Chinese tea, tea was nice, simple and not overpowering went well with cake. Now my cake was okay, the texture was great fluffy and the cream was nice, not too sweet, the cake was that Chinese style which I like because it’s not too sweet. The matcha power on top was gross but once I wiped it off no complaints. My friend got the rainbow cake which was creamy and again not too sweet. The fruit on top gave it some more natural sweetness too. My friend also got strawberry boba which we think tasted like UHT milk which we loved cos it tasted like milkshakes cartons and kinda like calpol lol Defo want to go back to try the bread looks very nice :) TL;DR good price and great taste if you like less sweet cake :) it looks 5/5 taste more like 4/5 but that could be more bad choice
