Cellarium Café & Terrace is an absolute gem tucked inside the historic walls of Winchester Cathedral. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels calm, elegant, and welcoming — a perfect blend of history and comfort. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a wonderful selection, from a perfectly grilled panini with crispy fries, to rich, comforting soups full of flavor. The afternoon tea was a standout — fresh sandwiches, warm scones, and delightful pastries that felt both indulgent and refined. The coffee was smooth and satisfying, ideal for a relaxing break, and everything arrived fresh and well-prepared. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind, making the experience even better. The setting is truly special — dining beneath vaulted ceilings surrounded by centuries of history creates a peaceful, almost magical ambiance. Clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed, it’s a place you’ll want to linger. ⭐ Highly recommended if you’re visiting London & Winchester. Whether for lunch, coffee, or afternoon tea, Cellarium Café & Terrace offers quality food, lovely service, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. We would happily return.

The food was really good, and the service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm, quiet and comfortable, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal. The tea and homemade scones are always perfect after a visit to the Abbey. Overall, a great spot with a nice balance of good food, good service, and a pleasant vibe.

A lovely experience. The food is a bit pricey, but the atmosphere, service, and the taste made up for the price. The tea was amazing and the steak risotto was splendid as well.

Hidden gem inside the Westminster abbey! You don’t need tickets to visit it though. Good food and interesting interior. As it’s part of the church you get the same feeling. I suggest they only add something more to the walls to make it more interesting and also add a kids menu but no complaints about the food. Super glad we found it.

Note: this is card only but not advertised anywhere. We visited as family of 4 with a wheelchair user in May Half Term. There is wheelchair access via a lift to the cafe. We went hoping for cafe meals such as sandwiches and jacket potato as it was advertised with cakes, light snacks, main meals and afternoon tea. Unfortunately these were not on the menu and it was very limited with few allergy friendly options and vegetarian options. There is a children's menu with 3 choices but none my allergy child could eat. There was afternoon tea available but no allergy ammendable options. It was hot outside and we were tired and had already negotiated the wheelchair to the table so decided to stay. We settled for 2 cream teas, 2 potions of chips and 2 cokes which came to £45. The cream tea was lovely but the cream and Jam were not enough for 2 scones and There was no dairy free butter/cream alternative. Oat milk was available as an alternative milk. The chips were lovely and the coke was cold but not served with ice. Overall the food was nice but the menu is far too limited. Its worth noting, because it was fairly busy, some parties were sat at shared tables which would have been a problem for my autistic daughter. There was a compulsory service charge which I thought was a cheek as the service wasn't fantastic. There are toilets next to the lift including an accessible toilet. Overall, not a place for simple food for lunch for a family or somewhere I'd recommend for vegetarians or allergies but the service was good enough, the food we ate was nice and not awful value considering it's location.

Absolutely wonderful cafe. Tucked away at the back of Westminster Abbey in Dean’s Yard. Let the guards on the door know you’re going into the cafe and not trying to sneak into the back of Westminster Abbey. The service was fantastic. Wonderful, polite, accommodating staff. The food was absolutely delicious. High quality and a delight for the tastebuds. Photo is of the vegan lunch options one of us had. We had starters and mains for 4 people plus drinks. We also got a dessert to go - not normally a to go dessert but the staff we wonderful and made it work for us. A little bit pricey, but very much worth it.

We went to Westminster Abbey for Sunday service on October 5th and came to eat the Sunday roast, which is only served on Sundays. You can enjoy the Sunday roast as a course, but if you come with a group, you can share the food. We went with two adults and two boys, aged 12 and 11. We ordered soup, bruschetta, three plates of Sunday roast, and chips and shared them. We were quite full. If you have the chance, I recommend going to the service and eating the Sunday roast, which is only served on Sundays.
