I had an awesome day out with my family and stopped by for a meal that totally exceeded our expectations! The food was incredibly tasty and the drinks were spot on. The staff were super friendly, making sure we felt welcome and even giving great recommendations. Everything was spotless, and the vibe was just right. I can't wait to come back for another round!

We attended a bottomless brunch on Saturday 4th July to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. There were 15 of us booked for the brunch, with two additional guests joining us later, making a total of 17. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who looked after us throughout the evening. Every single member of the team was attentive, friendly, professional, and couldn’t do enough for us. They worked incredibly hard to ensure everyone’s drinks were topped up, the food was served promptly, and that we all had an amazing time. The service we received was exceptional from start to finish. The drinks were flowing, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I can honestly say this was the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever attended. Thank you to the whole team for helping to make my daughter’s 21st birthday such a special and memorable celebration. You should all be incredibly proud of the service you provide. We will definitely be back!

BANYAN 2025 BOTTOMLESS SUPPERCLUB (AFTER 3PM) 9 ladies wined and dined here on Saturday evening. We were well looked after. The prosecco was flowing and so were the other drinks although we all said that we felt that the drinks were watered down. Food was excellent and very tasty. £41.95 wasn't really a bad price considering whst we had to drink. Staff were lovely and looked after us we. Unfortunately the music left little to be desired. The dance floor was mostly empty and that's a real sign for the dj to change the music. All in all we had a great time.

Had a work meal here and really enjoyed it. I went for the fish curry, which was tasty and well cooked, but the drinks were the real highlight - genuinely really good cocktails. Great atmosphere too, with a lively vibe and a super convenient location right by the train station. Would definitely come back, especially for after-work drinks.

We were a party of 9 celebrating our friend birthday. The service of Laura is super. 10 out of 10. Love the whole dining and cocktails experience Will come back again!

Fantastic experience for a joint hen do that I was in charge of organising for 14 people. Easy to book online and also to add extra people on after. Very attentive staff (shout out Isabella!) on the day and the whole brunch was gorgeous. Thank you so much for making the whole process easy and enjoyable ❤️

This was probably the most unsatisfactory visit to a food and drink establishment that I have ever had. We were hoping for a quick lunch before meeting for a family wedding. Unfortunately quick is not in the lexicon of the staff at Banyan. Food has to be ordered from the bar, which is where the issues start. We were stupid enough to have a family wedding on the same weekend as the Roundhay Festival which was the excuse given by the manager for the subsequent poor experience. I had been waiting at the bar to be served by one of the three bar staff trying to deal with waiting customers. Good bar staff keep an eye on arrivals to the bar and ensure people are served in order. Banyan doesn’t have good bar staff and randomly pick whoever was closest to them. As a result I was skipped several times and eventually asked another customer who was about to jump the queue in a polite way to ask them to tell the barman I was next to be served. The fellow customer decided to give me a mouthful of abuse - I accept that the management cannot control customer behaviour but if they had well-trained and adequate staff serving behind the bar, this distressing incident wouldn’t have happened (maybe don’t offer 2 for 1 cocktails when you are clearly understaffed). Due to the behaviour of the other customer my wife came to the bar and dealt with the order. Again the lack of training and knowledge of the bar staff came to the fore. We ordered just four dishes, one of which he couldn’t find on the screen. My wife pointed it out to him and he acknowledged it with an ‘ah got it’. 20 minutes later we are still waiting for food. Three dishes arrived (except for the one that the bar staff had trouble with, Ravioli is after all hard to understand). My wife checked with the person bringing the food if the Ravioli was on the way, “yes it’s coming” replied the waiter. No it wasn’t . After a long wait my wife asked one of the waiting staff where her food was who said they would check. Eventually they came back to the table to say that the ravioli wasn’t coming and the manager would speak to us. The manager in fairness was very apologetic. Good complaint handling always suggest you should apologise and rectify. There were lots of apologies but it was only when I asked what he would do to fix it, did he offer a complimentary round of drinks and the ravioli free of charge (it hadn’t been rung up by the bar staff who said he’d “got it “). The food was ok, the wine average and the service appalling. The only upside to the visit was to establish never to visit Banyan again.

The staff was superb, they made my day! I had just walked out of 3 other restaurants that morning because the staff was too rude and arrogant. But at Banyan, the staff was extremely welcoming, courteous, friendly and very very attentive! They made my experience memorable. The food was delicious. I had tried the vegan hash for first time and was absolutely pleased. The cucumber (and something, I forgot) drink tasted good but was barely a few sips, 3/4th of the glass was just ice. That was an absolute waste of money. The vibe was lively and fun. Overall good experience.
