When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and taken to our seats. Our jackets were taken for us, which was very thoughtful. The food was good and well prepared, though I felt some of the portion sizes could have been a bit bigger. The service was outstanding, truly exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable.

Visitor notes
Beautiful, lively, upscale atmosphere. Attentive but not overbearing service. Our farewell dinner for 2 in Glasgow, we were very happy with our choice. The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely return. My husband had a steak which he loved. Cooked to perfection. I Good feelings all around.
Went to the Anchor Line a few weeks ago now for a family birthday party which also doubled as a bit of a family reunion. We all had an amazing time. The building was beautiful. Food was amazing, portions were good, and it felt like everything came out quickly. Our waitress (I unfortunately didn’t get her name) was absolutely great, extremely helpful, really nice, and very attentive. She even helped find us somewhere to move to after our time slot was over to allow us to continue drinking and catching up. Will happily return if we are in the area again.
An amazing meal, we had the fillet steak with hand cut chips, brandy & peppercorn sauce with a side of broccoli followed by sorbet and mango cheesecake accompanied with a beautiful Portuguese red wine. Steak was cooked to perfection, overall 10/10. Staff are friendly and welcoming with a great relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant.
Can't fault this place. Everything was great. The staff professional, attentive, and kind. The food was delicious. I would have loved a bit bigger portions for the starters, but in this setting, food styling is important, so I can't complain. The steak with the blue cheese sauce was 'oh my god '. The best steak I ever had. Loved it and the portion was great. Unfortunately I couldn't go for a dessert; next time. Loved the alcohol free drinks. You can tell that thought and effort has been put to offer decent drinks and not just a mix of juices and syrups. And they are priced so reasonable in my opinion. The pace of the service was excellent. It's definitely a restaurant with high reputation and standards. A place to visit for special occasions.
The food was tasty and enjoyed by all at our table. The cocktails were fabulous - loved the Marilyn Monroe! The staff were attentive. The atmosphere was excellent.
I stop in when I am in Glasgow. Shirley temple, fries and salad were good! Great service at the bar too.
I have wanted to visit the Anchor Line at Christmas for ages, as it looks so inviting. This was a fantastic first experience. The staff were wonderful, and our night was made by the delightful doorman who was a real gentleman. The food was beautifully presented, of good quality and quantity, and tasted great. The ambience in the restaurant is very festive and the live piano music was a touch of elegance. We had a wonderful visit and I look forward to visiting again soon!
