Great coffee house, spacious inside and with lovely ambiance. Serve good selection of food, coffee and teas. Love naan and humus here so tasty. Turkish salad with feta great too. Not tried the sweet menu but they have lots of choices. It says it’s one of the to 100 coffee house in the world. Recommended

I have been waiting to write this review so I can provide a more encompassing opinion... Our first visit to the Ottoman Coffeehouse was exceptional, and my 9-year-old daughter and I both loved it! The space was warm and inviting with interesting decorative features, and the seating was fun and perfectly situated. It was apparent that the staff was happy to be there, and they were so helpful answering our questions regarding food and drinks. Their suggestions were spot on, and their kindness was genuine. They were equally as thrilled with our satisfaction as we were with our order, and we were truly thrilled! Everything was so flavorful and so delicious. Our first experience at the coffeehouse was ideal and memorable. But were we just lucky? Was it just a good day? Are they always this friendly and motivated? Does the food ever taste subpar or are the drinks ever cold? I am happy to say everything we experienced our first time is simply a remarkable standard at the Ottoman Coffeehouse! We are now regulars at the coffeehouse! It is something we look forward to, and we are never disappointed. From the moment we enter, we are always greeted with the friendliest of smiles and usually from multiple people. Everyone honestly makes us feel like our presence is recognized and appreciated. Due to the quality and craftsmanship of the food and drinks, our selections have become somewhat adventurous; however, they kindly warn us if they think there is anything not kid-friendly. We are always guilty of leaving a stack of completely empty plates and cups when we are finished, as if we licked them clean (a small person may have actually licked a plate or 2 😉). We have brought family and friends with us, and they too love the coffeehouse. If you are looking for a local business that takes pride in what they produce and how they treat their customers... a place to enjoy a cup of coffee or some fresh food or some tasty cake... a unique space with incredible ambiance to brighten the darkest of days... a home-away-from-home where you can study, visit with friends, or quietly relax... the Ottoman Coffeehouse won't disappoint! ☕️🩷
Only tried their dessert and tea. They also have savory and rice/meal options available. Their blackcurrant cake and baklava were tasty. Halloumi fries were a delight. Drinks ok. Aesthetic coffeehouse but really noisy and has a maximum time of stay of 1.5h this was on a Sunday so weekends might be really busy hence the time limit. I dont think they have online reservations. We were seated quite instantly when we came in despite the place looking a bit fullly booked. This place is walking distance from the Mitchell Library. If you are looking for a coffeehouse to study / read, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a place to socialise, bring friends or partners to have a nice meal or coffee and not mind the noise, this place is worth a visit.
We visited Glasgow for the bank holiday long weekend as a group of five friends from London, and this coffee shop was the very first place we went after seeing it on Instagram. It absolutely lived up to the hype! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service felt really thoughtful and welcoming. The atmosphere is a beautiful mix of authentic and modern, making it a really enjoyable place to relax and take in the experience. We tried a range of coffees including siphon and V60, and some of us had chai and pistachio latte—everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, it exceeded our expectations, and we were all genuinely impressed. If you’re in Glasgow, this is definitely a must-visit spot—we’ll absolutely be back!
The decor is warm and inviting but above all it’s the coffee and tea. As I type this, this is my second visit here during a 2 day affair. The barista and server are top notch. Your order is done through a QR code at your table and can be paid with Apple Pay. It’s alright to linger here and enjoy your espresso.
Ranked best coffee shop in the uk and I understand why personally should be in the world but we move. The folk here really know what they are talking about when it comes to coffee, from the tasting notes to the science behind it. I’ve never been to a place like this before, the staff, the atmosphere, food and obviously the coffee. Genuinely feels like I’m at home when I come here, they have really mastered their goal when they said they want this to feel like a safe place for people to enjoy, unwind and relax whilst having the best coffee ever!!!! 100% recommend coming to this place, very attentive, very friendly and very knowledgeable. Don’t have one bad thing to say about it tbh, been here plenty of times and I’m sure I’ve explained why, lol just try it.
What an amazing Coffee-Shop. Truly a must visit if you ever come to Glasgow. The variety of coffee beans is exceptional; ranging from subtle and delicate coffees to strongly remarkable ones. The diversity of extraction methods brings even more to the table as you will be able to enjoy them tailored to your taste. It blew my mind how the food tasted so good as well. The pastries and sweet snacks were out of this world, enhancing your already crazy coffee experience. And it doesn't stop there, the food for lunch might be the best I've ever had in Glasgow. My experience at the Ottoman Coffeehouse gave shape to my Glasgow Coffee Trip, and I cannot thank them enough. Thanks everyone in the team working there, for being so welcoming, and being so good at what you do!
Absolutely wonderful environment, food and drink, and service!!! It’s special when you find a spot on your vacation that feels like “home”. Although Ottoman is incredibly unique, we felt at home immediately due to the kindness, generous spirit, and the energy of the entire (large) room! Every guest seemed truly at home and happy there!! A family playing a card game, a couple reading quietly, 2 friends engaged in a deep conversation, students studying together…it’s all a part of the overall fabric. The owners are incredibly kind and focused on your experience! The service was attentive and personalized. The food: ALL of the baked items were fantastic!! The caramel cruffin was sooo delicious!! The Turkish salad was another huge highlight; simple, and the perfect combination of flavors to feel light and delicious!!! The energy is alive, not too loud but a happy volume. I cannot wait until we have a chance to visit Glasgow again; we will go straight back to Ottoman!!!
