⭐️ Best Caesar Salad in Glasgow ⭐️ Stopped in for lunch and honestly loved every minute of it. The Caesar salad was incredible — easily the best I’ve had in Glasgow. The portion was generous, fresh, and really satisfying. The dressing was spot on, the romaine crisp, and the chicken had the perfect crunch. Simple, well done, and great value. The service made it even better. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place had a cool, easygoing vibe. I felt comfortable right away and could actually relax and enjoy my meal. Can’t recommend this spot enough — already looking forward to coming back. Definitely deserves the five stars 🌟

Really odd experience. Slightly aggressive lady on the door grilled my friend and I intensely about where we were from, before bizarrely deciding she’d seen me staggering around so I must be too drunk to be allowed in. It’s a late bar so obviously I’d had a couple of beers before we went, but I certainly wasn’t even slightly drunk. I’d understand it if it was a local’s neighbourhood bar where they’re keen to deter tourists, and retain a certain vibe, but this is in the city centre so I’m honestly not sure what the door policy must be? It was pretty quiet there at the time too.

I usually love coming here, it has a good atmosphere, good drinks and I have never had an issue. However, i came today and I’ve not had a worse experience… I was in the toilets not long before closing, I was not taking long just going quickly. Before I went there were no signs of closing. Music was still on, lights were dimmed. I was in the female bathroom for less than 5 minutes before a MAN came in and started banging on my cubicle door demanding me out. As a woman who works in hospitality i know this is not a normal situation and not at all appropriate considering (as i assume) lights have gone on WHILST was in the bathroom, when i was unaware. Usually there is a signal to say when the place is closing. I feel completely violated and my rights have been ignored as i then went to both bar staff and door staff as i complained about what had happened both saying “it is not a violation of my rights” or “it is not my issue” which it is (look at the cctv). Following this, i had them addressed my concerns to those who i was with that night who then conversed with “management” on what had happened. My peers who I had expressed my concerns to were conveniently men, and funnily enough they were listened to, despite it was MY OWN experience… I have already tried to talk to bar staff and was rudely dismissed, i will progress to contacting management regarding my experience. I am extremely frustrated at this situation as i was a regular customer and i regularly recommended this bar to others… not anymore… i would love to hear from this place regarding my experience.

Great Food, Disappointing Service We visited this bar during the kitchen pop-up for restaurant Sub126 and unfortunately the overall experience was quite disappointing, despite the food itself being lovely. When we arrived, there was no one available to seat us, so after waiting for a while we sat ourselves at a table. There were four empty tables at the time. Shortly after, a waitress told us the table might be reserved and that we may need to move. We then had to wait while she checked with another staff member, after which we were asked to move to a very small, cramped table squeezed uncomfortably between two others. Once the table next to us became free, we politely asked if we could move there, as it was the same size and our current table would then be available if it was needed for a reservation. The waitress was dismissive and rude when we asked. Notably, the original table we were asked to move from remained empty for the entire hour and a half we were there. Ordering was also frustrating. Our order was very simple (two items from the menu) but had to be repeated multiple times. We brought cash to pay and were then told food was card-only, which was fine, but this wasn’t stated anywhere beforehand and was communicated with very little customer service. We waited around 45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, one dish was barely warm and a dip we had paid £1 extra for was missing. At that point, we felt uncomfortable asking staff again as the atmosphere already felt quite unwelcoming. The food itself was genuinely nice, which made the experience even more disappointing. However, the service really let the bar down. The waitress seemed lacking in confidence, spoke very quietly, and came across as dismissive throughout. Overall, while the pop-up food was good, the service and organisation at the bar made the visit unenjoyable.

Great bar with tasty food! It's an institution in Glasgow city centre and has a buzzing atmosphere at the weekend. The kitchen is taken over by Sub 126 at the time of posting, they do rotate the food on offer but in my experience it is always great. The subs currently on the menu are amazing, big sandwiches with top quality ingredients.

me and a friend came down to try the sub126 pop up, food was great. The service we received was not great. when we walked in the waiting at the front door and no one even acknowledged us. we walked over to a table and a waitress said that table was reserved and asked us to move ( no big deal but the table remained empty the whole time we were there ). we then got sat awkwardly in between people, once the people next to us left, we asked if we could just move to the table next to us ( no different from our current table we just didn’t enjoy the fact it felt like we were sitting on top of the table next to us) the waiter acted like this was such an inconvenience. when it came to ordering our food the waitress didn’t really listen to us and we had to repeat our order multiple times. we then asked to pay cash and we were then told it was card only, which i didn’t see stated anywhere. we waited about 45 mins for our food and it was cold but didn't want to bother staff. when it came to leaving the waitress was at another table allowing the guest to pay for drinks and as she walked by we asked if we could pay for drinks and we were told to go to the bar, don’t really know why we had to pay at the bar when the other table paid her for their drinks. it was a weird atmosphere from the moment we walked in, no one asked us if our food was okay. i understand it was busy but being busy shouldn’t mean lack of good customer service or even basic customer service.

Can't speak to the quality of the bar, mainly because the cheerful doorstaff wouldn't let us in. Despite being teetotal for 5 years, one asked me how many pints Id had. I told him that I dont drink alcohol. My mate told him that I had MS. He just stared and said 'try somewhere else' and shrugged when asked where else. Thankfully, Yhe Social didnt seem to have the same approach and was happy to give their staff the money. If youre a disabled person (or non disabled person), you might want to try a more welcoming and inclusive pub like The Social

We wanted to try the food at Max's after seeing their TikToks! Been to the bar and La Cheetah many times but never thought of trying the food so the marketing video definitely worked here 😂 we got a selection of tacos, birria and tostadas to try, all were really tasty. Loved how many hot sauces they had to choose from this was the best bit for me as someone obsessed with hot sauce! Cant fault the service either everyone we spoke to was lovely, the atmosphere was really chill and there was great tunes on. Good value for money too with the deals they have on if you buy multiple tacos etc. Will be back!
