Buchanan Bus Station is centrally located and easy to navigate, but the biggest issue is the complete lack of toilet facilities during late‑night and early‑morning hours. For a major transport hub serving long‑distance coaches and early departures, having no accessible toilets at these times is unacceptable. It leaves passengers, including families and vulnerable travellers with no basic amenities when they need them most. The station works fine during the day, but overnight facilities urgently need improvement.
Glasgow really is the friendliest city, and you feel that as soon as you step into Buchanan Bus Station. It was my first time here and I loved it from the start. It’s a great hub because you can get buses connecting to the airport or anywhere in the city.
I arrived late so the coffee shops were shut, but the indoor area was open, warm, and very clean. The toilets were tidy too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even the other travelers were nice! There are big boards to check your bus times, so it’s easy to stay organized. Even when they closed the indoor section and I had to wait at the outdoor shelter for my bus to Aberdeen, I felt totally fine. Perfect place for anyone traveling through!
This is Scotland's largest bus station, offering direct bus connections to all major cities in Scotland and England. It also has direct connectivity to Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh Airport. It has good space in passenger waiting areas, and more seating facilities need to be improved in the temperature-controlled area

This Bus Station Is Very Modern And Very Simple To Find Which Bus You Want To Catch , With The Usual Shops Inside Like Greggs And A Normal Tesco Like Shop Inside. The Staff Will Always Help You And Even The Bus Drivers If There Not To Busy . They Obviously Treat Security Here Seriously Aswell As There's Always A Presence Of Security Floating Around
Kept clean, with lots of options for food and drinks while you wait. Any staff I've dealt with are friendly and helpful. You will need small change if you want to use the toilets. Just a shame the busses aren't always on time!
