Really great shop and always a pleasure to visit. The team at Fish Planet Finsbury Park are friendly, helpful, and clearly know what they’re talking about. They take the time to answer questions and give honest advice, which makes a big difference.
There’s a really nice variety of fish available, and the quality is excellent. Everything looks healthy and well cared for, and the prices are very competitive too.
The layout of the shop is clean and well organised, making it easy to look around and enjoy the experience. You can tell a lot of effort goes into keeping the shop looking good and running well. Definitely recommend Fish Planet to anyone looking for quality fish and great customer service.
Unbelievable shop. I normally go to the Finsbury store and Nick and team there are the best. Always informative with anything you need. Had a few fish get ill in my tank (not the shops fault at all) and the help with medication and steps to help the fish has saved 2 of my fish. Selection of fish is great, can go to just look (sometimes I do). Started at a small tank and have gone all the way to a 125 community tank. Have rasboras, gouramis, pleco and Pygmy cories and it’s just great. They have an incredible selection of live plants that look great in my tank. I’m sure Shoreditch has more selection so head there if you can but Finsbury for us perfect as 20mins away.
I would just like to send a quick message to say what a great experience I had at your Finsbury Park store , we travelled from Essex to visit the store as my Daughter wanted a Betta fish for her new tank she was looking for the perfect fish that she had in her mind. We were served by Nick he was so helpful, helping my daughter and even contacting your other store to show what they had in stock. Nick really went over and above, what a great member of your team he is. I also bought some fish and shrimps, I was blown away with the choice and competitive prices. Small but sweet. My partner and I last went here about 7 months ago... Since then, their stock has increased. We had not been able to get the rocks and wood we had wanted before, but they seem to have a bigger selection now. They also have a wide range of fish and keep their tanks clean. I just bought some Amano shrimp from them. They are a bit more expensive than Amazon, but that takes into account the expert advice, the care and the cost of keeping the fish healthy. Friendly staff, even though it was very busy. Definitely recommend this place.
Second time using Fish Planet and once again very happy with the service. The Young lady who served me (apologies I didn't catch her name) was really helpful and great. As have all the staff been on my recent trips. Great selection of fish and offer Great advice for someone new to the hobby like me. Would definitely recommend.

Visited again June 2026. This is a small store so be realistic about stock. But excellent. It's easy to spend a good 30 or 40 minutes just checking what fish and plants are there. Everything, is kept under control, clean tanks, healthy plants and no sick fish for sale or dead fish visible to the public. Great staff, great plants, excellent display tank demonstrating lovely plant growth, lighting and CO2 etc., good healthy fairly priced fish, lovely friendly atmosphere and hard not to spend money despite its modest size. Best shop currently in London. Tanks often have duckweed, tannins and hornwort for fish health, just make sure you don't get some free duckweed, it has its place, but not in my tank. If you want good fish, good plants and good honest advice this is a great store, if you are knowledgeable and experienced, you will not be talked down to, you will be engaged with and appreciated. .
Amazing Shop all of the tanks were clean and and the fish were amazing quality. All the staff were friendly and Chris who served me was brilliant. Very knowledgeable with all types of fish plants and food. My son ended up getting a panda oranda and a lion head oranda. I purchased 2 x vampire shrimps and 20 x ember Tetras. I also purchased 5 plants and frozen fish food. I will definitely be going back again. Thanks Chris for all your help.
