Lucarelli Italian Restaurant

​I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant, and a massive part of that was thanks to the incredible manager, Shariya. ​From the moment we walked in, Shariya welcomed us with genuine warmth and professionalism. Throughout the evening, they went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect—attentive without being intrusive, and handling the entire floor with absolute grace. ​The food was fantastic, but it is the top-tier hospitality led by Shariya that truly sets this place apart. It’s rare to see such dedication to customer satisfaction these days. ​Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back!

Had the most amazing birthday celebration here. Giovannai and Francessa were amazing servers, incredibly attentive. The Linguini and Risotto Scolio, the Tagliatelle Fungi with Chicken and Margarita Chicken Pizza were all amazing as well as the Calamari starter. Great dessert! Thank you so much to Pasquale and Doriano who came out and made sure everything was perfect!

Had a fabulous evening at Lucarelli Mailbox. The food was absolutely outstanding — the veal was cooked to perfection and the mixed grill fish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The service, as always, was exceptional; attentive, friendly, and professional from start to finish. A wonderful atmosphere and consistently high standards every time we visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Birmingham. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Table 1- 3 July 2026. We came today to Lucarelli for a quick food and drinks and let me tell you that is the best Italian restaurant in Birmingham. Everyone is really nice, the restaurant is gorgeous and the music is in a perfect volume where you can talk with no problem. It was my friend’s birthday today, and a really nice waiter helped us record a video while we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her. We’ll definitely come back soon. Thank you so much

An absolutely fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, friendly and patient. The menu is excellent and the food and presentation beautiful. Situated in a convenient location, close to Birmingham's Registry Office, we were able to walk our whole wedding party from Holliday Street to Lucarelli within 5 minutes. Thank you so much for the generous welcome and the individual touches. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was fabulous apart from the staff running around like headless chickens, poor things. My husband's food was good, I ordered a bruschetta that had tomatoes and bread but nothing else, it was nice but I've had better. The carbonara on the other hand, I couldn't eat as it tasted more like Mac n Cheese. They have all the ingredients for a great restaurant but didn't hit the mark with us on this occasion. We are across the way at the Tapas the following night and they were spot on with everything, we highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our visit to Lucarelli. Being located in the Mailbox, I had high hopes for the restaurant and I was not disappointed. The wait staff were wonderful, close enough to call if we needed anything but attentive to our needs; the level of wine seemed to be topped up just when you needed it! The food was wonderful. I opted for the king prawns to start, the Bolognese and the canolo to finish and each one was fresh and with distinct flavours. Often if something is in a tomato based sauce, they would all taste pretty similar, but Lucarelli's had depth and were very much distinctive. The fresh focaccia slice was almost melt in the mouth and the pasta was so light. The little shot of lemoncello at the end of the meal was an unexpected delight. Really wonderful evening, we will be back to try other dishes again soon.

Great dining experience. The food and portions were excellent. Our waiter, Simone, was friendly, competent and made our lunch even more memorable. I would recommend it
