We we’re looking for a traditional Sunday roast and found 1000 trades listed as being exceptional in the Birmingham area. I can honestly say that the meal we ate was one of the best pub roast dinners we’ve ever had. The beef was so tender and perfectly cooked; the veggies were delicious and so varied, and the portions were very generous. Thank you to our lovely waiter who was so friendly and welcoming, and (apart from there being no lamb or cauli cheese left - but we did book late) we had the perfect meal. The primitivo wine was particularly good, and I enjoyed a pint of cloudy Devon cider as well.

Excellent pub with rotating pop-up restaurants and chefs always excellent quality. Large selection of drinks including beers wines cocktails. The wine list includes natural wines. Nice location nice clientele. Dark and mysterious.

A lovely place in the jewellery quarter with great laid back atmosphere and music. Food was delicious and filling. Approved by us Londoners. Everyone was super friendly. It had an indie vibe 👍👍👍 We loved it all.

We were really excited to visit 1000 trades as we’ve read plenty of good reviews. On arrival there was no one to receive us and take us to a table. There was only one staff member behind the bar who advised we could just find a seat and order at the bar. We placed our order and found a table. The table was a little dirty and sticky, no salt and pepper on table. Our order arrived relatively quick, however no one came to check how the food was and we had to try and flag someone down as one of our orders was incorrect. The menu is also misleading, it says all large dishes are served with couscous on the side but that was not received. The staff member told us it only came with the rice or chips that are on the plate (so why does the menu say all plates come with couscous?! We were expecting this as an extra). The Zatar chicken was very tasty and crispy, and the chips were also good. The lamb koftas were very tasteless. The salad did not have any dressing. And the amount of bread provided with the dips too small for 3 dips and 2 people. Overall this experience left us disappointed and unlikely to return as the prices here are not cheap and the staff did not seem to care about customers.

One of the best spots in JQ if not all of Brum Cosy vibes with frequent foodie pop ups, fun events and amazing staff! Perfect for a drink or a bite without the pressure of “going out” Highly recommend for casual drinks!!

Went on the recommendation from a colleague and will go again. The fish and chips was excellent, accompanied by a nice cider and followed by a good coffee. Will be heading back to check out the jazz they host regularly, looking forward to hearing some good live music.

We've just moved in around the corner from this place and went here for Sunday roast between unpacking boxes. And wow - great selection of beers, friendly staff and absolutely amazing food. I have a feeling this will become our regular haunt!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Delicious food. Excellent service. Most definitely quality over quantity but the quantity is more than enough. The food is wonderfully prepared. The service is attentive. A definite recommend.
