WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: If you buy a car from cinch you better pray that is in good working order because if you need to get the vehicle repaired through the included 90 day warranty you should be aware that you will be without a vehicle until they very slowly work out how to save any penny they can getting it fixed even though they chose the mechanic to diagnose and fix your car. Doesn’t matter if you need to get to work and are having to get taxis to work because you start early in the morning and finish work late at night… they won’t care that you are haemorrhaging money doing this and have no other options because in the terms they only authorise a courtesy car if they green light the fixes when the work will take more than 8 hours… even though you’ve already been without a car for an entire week and the advisors tell you on the phone that sometimes it takes 2 months to authorise the work! And then they refuse to deal with the complaints properly. Forget the FCA regulations. Forget the consumer rights 2015 act! Forget human decency! The policy is the policy and that is as good as gold! As a returning customer I am absolutely in disbelief at being treated this way. Being promised responses by agents, call backs, complaint escalations and never having one of those being honoured! I will absolutely never come back to cinch for another vehicle! This is absolutely abhorrent!

I genuinely expected Cinch’s whole “cars without the faff” slogan to mean a smooth, modern, hassle-free buying experience. Unfortunately this turned out to be the complete opposite — without exaggeration, this was the worst car buying experience of my life and by far the most faff I’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle. The initial purchase process was painful to say the least. I dealt with multiple different customer service representatives and every single one seemed unaware of previous conversations. I was repeatedly asked the same questions over and over again as if there was no internal communication or record-keeping whatsoever. What should have been a simple transaction became exhausting — I counted over 40 emails back and forth and around 10 phone calls, most of which were requesting information I had already provided several times. Once they realised I was purchasing the car through a business, the tone noticeably changed. I was very quickly told I effectively had no consumer rights and that I would not receive the 90-day warranty. That alone says a lot about the confidence they have in the cars they’re selling — it felt less like transparency and more like a disclaimer before problems even occurred. After finally getting payment sorted, the car was arranged for collection at the Derby branch just a few days later, only to then be pushed back another week as this was suddenly the “next available date”. Then, just 15 minutes before arriving to collect the car — after I had already insured it, taxed it, removed the private registration from my part exchange and made all the necessary arrangements — I received a call saying they had “found a scratch” on the rear door of the Tesla I was purchasing. This was not a scratch. It was a large dent across the rear door and quarter panel which would require the entire side of the car repainting to repair properly. This should have been identified long before collection day, not moments before arrival when everything was already committed. When we arrived at the Derby site the experience didn’t improve. The reception desk was empty and we stood waiting for around 15 minutes while multiple staff members walked past and ignored us. Eventually someone acknowledged us and showed us the damage, but nobody on site could actually speak to us about resolving it — we were simply told customer services would call us and had to wait for a phone call while standing there. The condition of the car itself was shocking. It clearly was not retail-ready: • The dashboard warned of low brake fluid • The car smelt strongly of wet dog • The valet was awful — the interior and carpets were left wet • The only key supplied was damaged • Multiple other issues were noticeable immediately It looked like the car had received little to no preparation before being listed for sale. For a company advertising inspected and ready-to-drive vehicles, this fell far below an acceptable standard. If this is the level of preparation and “safety inspection” carried out, it genuinely feels like they are simply selecting the poorest vehicles from auction that other dealers don’t want to buy. From start to finish the process felt disorganised, repetitive and frustrating. Buying a car should be exciting and straightforward — especially from a company marketing itself as hassle-free — but instead it felt like chasing problems with a company that doesn’t communicate internally and delivers cars far below the standard advertised. I would strongly advise people not to purchase a vehicle from these clowns. In my experience, “cars without the faff” translated to the most faff imaginable.

Purchased a Tesla from Cinch, 2 days before collection I received an email explaining the car wasn’t ready due to previous owner’s details still on the car and I will need to wait another week before Tesla can send an engineer. I obviously had alot of questions so reached out to the aftercare executive who never replied to my emails and constant contact; I am in the middle of moving house plus the car I am part exchanging will have significantly more miles on. I had already paid for new insurance and paid to cancel old insurance. No reimbursement there. Plus I am still expected to collect the vehicle. No free delivery. First and last time using Cinch. I will say though there general customer services are brilliant. The aftercare executive team and general experience, not so much.

Bought a car with a faulty clutch. Flagged it to Cinch. They did give me a courtesy car but took weeks and weeks to “fix” it, the repair centre is miles away so they added a long trip up north to my mileage and got me a penalty ticket in the process, which they did pay but this caused extra stress on top of stress. On the way back the driver stated the car still had the fault so it didn’t come back and had to be fixed again. At this point I asked for a replacement clutch and they had the car a month. On return it was seemingly working but I asked for a repair sheet which they never could seem to provide. Car was good for six months. Was then told there was no way they could know it was the same fault (it absolutely was). Argued with them for a few months and then they said they’d send to Peugeot to look at and fix if it was the same fault - HOORAH! I’m 6 months pregnant this point worried about driving a car that is dangerous. The garage they use is about 8 miles away so I drop the car off, get a few buses home tired and pregnant. Peugeot then update me that they need permission from Cinch to remove the gearbox to look at the clutch but that they think the clutch is broken (no surprises there). Cinch then tell them no. Peugeot surprised, I’m surprised. Why did they book a car in to look at the clutch and then not look at the clutch? So then I get a £30 uber back to get my car which is only just driving at this point and complain to Cinch, they then tell me after all this back and forward the car is now out of its year warranty. I asked if the repairs they do have a warranty and apparently they don’t! Final response to my complaint lied about some of the details and missed out the key fact that I flagged the car as still faulty 6 months later. Cinch are not part of the motor ombudsman group (red flag) so you can’t complain there. Finance company are through cinch and they didn’t give a damn either even though it’s PCP so they still own the car, Honestly - I would never ever go with cinch. Great if you have no problems with car, useless if you do

Incredibly disappointed in the service… Incredibly disappointed in the service provided so from Cinch. They called at 2pm the day before delivery was due to check I had everything ready and confirm my delivery. They advised me to arrange Insurance and tax etc for my new car. They then called 45 minutes later (after I had arranged both of these things) and cancelled my scheduled (and confirmed) delivery slot. (16 hours before delivery was due). I had by now ( upon their advice) taxed and insured my new car whilst cancelling the insurance in my previous car(to be sort exchanged). They then told me they had given my delivery slot to someone else, the issue they had initially missed was apparently being fixed and rectified but delivery now was not an option. They then told me they had no solution other than for me to “wait for us to update you”. It has been a huge inconvenience and cost for their errors. I am now with out insurance on my current car, no new car and no new delivery date. I opted to use cinch for ease and convenience of purchase. I have experienced the total opposite. I would strongly suggest considering other options before choosing this company to purchase any vehicle

We got the car fully serviced after purchase and despite Cinch claiming to have performed a service and MOT only a few weeks before purchase the car came back with over £3000 of repairs required, £1500 of which are "urgent attention". We were told the car would fail its MOT if it was done. This was done by official KIA garage. Customer service said they need to confirm the damage but can't do so until end of Jan 2026, and the garage is an hours drive away. And this is without any confirmation that they will do the repairs. Wholly unacceptable. There's no way their service and MOT were legit given the state of the car only a few weeks later.

Lots of negative reviews but I’ve had nothing but a great experience with Cinch, car was delivered on the day they said it would be, gave me a good price for my car, actually better price than multiple other dealerships offered. Car arrived clean and tidy, I asked if paperwork was in the car and although they couldn’t say for sure it arrived with the paperwork I asked for. Took the car to main dealership for a health check, including a hybrid battery check. Everything was good besides discs, 2 tyres and break pads. None urgent just advised, contacted cinch who asked for the report and within 20 minutes I had a call to say they would cover the cost of everything totalling almost £1000. Car drives perfectly, main dealership asked what price I paid from cinch for the car and was surprised how cheap I paid for it, considering the age, mileage and condition and said they wouldn’t have anything at that price for the year and mileage. I would absolutely use cinch again and really glad I did. Was truly put off by the negative reviews and was tempted to go to a local dealership but really glad I didn’t.

Very poor experience with Cinch from start to finish and reading all these other reviews is obviously a huge ongoing issue! The car arrived with the engine management light already on, despite us being told before delivery that the vehicle had previously gone into limp mode but had been fixed. Clearly this had not been properly resolved, as the problem was still present when the car was delivered. We had to call the RAC out, who then identified multiple faults with the vehicle. Cinch then expected my partner to drive the faulty car back to the garage himself, which we felt was completely unacceptable given the car had known issues. He was then left at the garage with no courtesy car or support to get home. Throughout this process we repeatedly asked for a formal complaint to be raised and requested to speak with a manager. We were told on more than one occasion that a manager would call us back, but this never happened. Our requests to escalate the issue were essentially ignored. For a company that advertises thorough vehicle checks and a smooth, hassle-free buying process, this experience was the complete opposite. Delivering a faulty vehicle, expecting the customer to return it themselves, and then failing to properly handle a formal complaint is simply not acceptable. Although the car was eventually returned and the refund processed, the level of service and communication we experienced was extremely poor. Based on this experience, we would not recommend Cinch.
