Cologne Guide

I took the beer house tour twice in English with my groups of English students and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Both guides (Chris and Heike) were very entertaining and enthusiastic to share their knowledge and anectotes surrounding the "Kölsch Culture". Great choice of beer houses, such as Malzmühle or Peters. Highly recommended!

It was awesome, I totally recommend it to anyone planning to go to Cologne. Chris was an amazing guide, super funny and knows his stuff. You should definitely get him as your guide when you're in Cologne. I can't wait to visit cologne again, we had such a great and memorable time.

Chris deserves the guide of the year! He is very passionate about his job and I felt his enthusiasm run through his veins throughout the whole tour (how lucky of me - I ended up getting a private tour with the last-minute cancellation of another group). I was just on time for the tour but was late for the 15min pre-tour meet-up schedule, and unknowingly did not see Chris' greeting message just before the start of the tour, but Chris patiently waited for me at the meet-up location - thank you, as I wouldn't have wanted to miss the entertainment and knowledge you instilled into me about brewhouses, its rich history and of course, the Kolsch beer! Chris also went out of his way and allowed me to order a dish before having some beer, plus guided me to see Cologne's oldest path. He is quite the character; I'm sure everyone will love him!

Lieber Chris! Es war eine ausgesprochene kurzweilige Tour, die viel zu schnell vorbei ging! Als Kölsche Jung der die Ecken um den Eigelstein aus seiner Jugend kennt, habe ich trotzdem noch einiges neues erfahren und zwei mir noch nicht bekannte Brauhäuser kennen lernen dürfen. Chris hat uns mit viele Anekdoten um die Brauhaus Geschichten gefüttert. Vielen Dank und ein großes Lob…von allen 10 Teilnehmern!!! Manfred

Chris provided us with a great tour of all the best brewhouses in Cologne. He provided a ton of great context for each bar along with history and fun or unique stories at each one. We loved this experience, it was our favorite in Cologne so far! He also provided us with fantastic food recommendations for our stay.

We enjoyed a Brauhaus tour with Chris in July 2025 as part of a stag do. From the start, it was clear how knowledgeable and passionate Chris was about the local beer culture. In addition, he adapted perfectly to join in with the stag do’s party atmosphere, with plenty of laughs throughout the tour! I would 100% recommend Chris’s tours whether you are in a large group or just on a quiet weekend away and would like to learn more about the wonderful Kölsch culture.

Wir hatten eine tolle Tour durch fünf Brauhäuser. Neben Kölsch gab es einiges Wissenswertes zu Köln, dem Karneval, dem Bier und der Brauhauskultur zu erfahren. Eine super unterhaltsame und kurzweilige Tour mit Chris, der als erfahrener Köbes weiß, wovon er spricht. Toll auch, dass die Tour extra für uns 3 Teilnehmer stattgefunden hat 😊🍻
